AWESOME! My mother was going to spend a few hundred bucks to replace her system because of the crackling with the volume. She was worried about a fire etc. She is nearly 80 which explains her fears. Thank You.
In addition to the crackling sound with the volume knob, I also hear a huge pop when turning power on/off. Is this a separate issue or will doing the above help with that?
Hey, bro. Could you explain that a little more? The volume knob on my audio interface is noisy but only when there's sound coming out of the speakers, therefore I assume it's not rust or dirty. Might be what you say but I have zero knowledge in electronics and don't know what any of that means.
Can I use WD 40 instead?Edit: This was mentioned on Google, any thoughts? Rubbing alcohol and acetone are also commonly used as electrical contact cleaners. These solvents are effective in removing dirt and grime, and they evaporate quickly, leaving no residue behind. However, they should be used with caution as they can damage certain types of plastics and rubber.
@@sepita10 I ultimately got mine replaced since it was still under warranty as I didn’t want to spend $35 on contact cleaner, which is what the seller recommended
