The cast metal zippers still yield a bit under force - that is usually how the gap opened up in the first place - it is rarely actual wear. Just to needs to be done carefully and don't overdo it.

That's cool if you're at home where your tools are but what if you're out somewhere and your zipper gets stuck? I'm not going to carry a pair of pliers in my back pocket. Also that's a plastic zipper. Will it work as easily with a metal zipper?
Proprio quello che non si deve mai fare. Se il cursore si è aperto significa che si è rotto al suo interno e, se si strige male o, troppo, si rischia di compromettere la cucitura delle spirali e rovinare definitivamente la lampo. Ma chi scienziato sei che consigli queste cose? In questo caso bisogna sostituire il cursore con uno nuovo e basta.
Funciona por un tiempo ya que el metal es muy quebradizo , vuelve a suceder lo mismo , es mejor cambiar el carrito o jaladera , si eso hace el que a eso se dedica ,quedará mal con el trabajo
Todo tiene que ver con el desgaste,puede tener solución por un corto tiempo, tambien se puede terminar rompiendo al ajustar con ka pinza.la solución es cambiar el deslizante o el cierre
It is not that easy. There has to be balance between 2 sides. I did this, it only lasted a week of use. If the runner gets defective (a little loose)it will do it again 😢
1.) Toss broken bag in garbage. Zipper tab is made if cheap Chinese pot metal which will crack when you squezze it with pliers. 2.) Purchase a bag with all metal teeth in the zipper (Think Carhartt style construction) Summary: mildly repaired crap is still crap.
Freak PLASTIC one on my jacket from Torid !! So this won't work! Be aware if you use & break plastic. You're done! Otherwise, good tip when done slowly , gently !!

Es mejor bajar el chismito ese antes de apretarlo, yo siempre arreglo así las cremalleras, pero hay que apretar los dos lados a la vez y con mucho cuidadito, porque se parte con mucha facilidad, es mejor doblarlo lo mínimo para que funcione y de una vez. Aún teniendo cuidado en alguna ocasión se me ha roto y ya no queda otra que buscar uno igual y cambiarlo, lo que a veces no es tan fácil, porque por mucho que se parezca si no es idéntico no corre

That's not fixed. When the zipper is pulled to the bottom we can see that the sides are not equal, quickly covered up by the thumb. We are shown that it appears to be fixed when the sides are pulled in the middle. If it is pulled at the bottom it will peel open again.
