The next day after I watched this picked up a trailer that had a abs light on so climbed underneath found the abs sensor hanging by the wire behind the brake shoes it was a pain but stuck it back in and tapped with my extension and hammer until it bottomed out rolled 5 feet and light went out good thing too because it was the second day of dot safety blitz when I picked this particular trailer up you saved my butt Vlad !!!
Not much experience that I see. Not trying to talk negatively about him but he can’t even read a multi meter properly. He needs to jack it up and spin the wheels to test the sensors.Abs is my favorite part of my job. It’s the easiest lol by the way the resistance should show around 1.2 ohms not 1200. And beating on a plastic sensor housing is ridiculous. It is good that he is trying to fix it himself but with that being said it’s also extremely dangerous for other drivers on the highway for him to be half assing it himself. Bite the bullet and call a professional. It’s cheaper than the ticket and possibly killing somebody because your truck won’t stop in time! I could see fixing a light or something you know is easy and guaranteed to be working properly when you’re done. Leave the majority of it to a licensed and insured professional.
Got a light on my Pet's dash board, saying that the right side has a problem. First of all I plan to swap RH and LH plugs. Surelly, then drive and check if the error changed. After all, probably, going to use your method to push a sensor closer to a tone ring. Will see. Yeah, you are right, a resistace of the sensor has to be checked first. Thanks for the video bro.
P.S. My case appeared to be much easier, swapped them, ran, the light is disappeared, put them back. Thats it. The problem is gone. Probably, the contacts were oxidited.
I fixed the sensor and tap the sennsor and trailer abs light was gone. i start driving on the road and hit pothole the abs light came on. i pushed the sensor back in light is off, next timr i start drive first bridge that i hit light comes On. it’s a driver side sensor on left side do u think is lose needs new one ?
