Nice video, worked for me. Suggestions: 1. use a small vise or vise clamp to hold backing tab 2. Heat gun on low setting around perimeter, but mostly on one part 3. Use small jewelry screw driver on seam with light pressure on seam. In about a minute the seam started to separate and slowly use mini screw driver to remove back. 4. Remove part as you show using mini screw driver 5. Squeeze watch back together for 30 seconds (no new glue). Full job in less than 5 minutes.

Oh man, thanks so much, you're a legend! I had the exact same issue and now my watch is working again. Thanks so much, cheers from Brazil!
Did this and fixed my Problem. I think its not the barometer, bcause "Mic2" is written on the componnet. but hey we dont need mic nor the barometer, removing the component did fix my battery problem. Thanks
Same here i think i poke it mine too thinking its a reset button. Mines draining heavily it last half a day. I tried to clean the sensor with alcohol and put it back. There was a slight improvement that it drains 1% every 30 minutes. So it lasts for 2 days. But i also ended up trying to totally unplugged it from the device and see the difference.
Hello Life Fallacy. First of thank you for the video. I just want to ask a problem that what I have. My amazfit paces' heart rate monitor lid[little one] to stick out from the main part of the watch. Is the glue works for fix it? Do you suggest anything else?
yes a water resistant adhesive would work, just remember that if you sweat on the watch it will lead to moisture build up inside the watch and corrode further components. i would recommend getting another back panel but this watch doesn't have replacement parts readily available
Glad to help, it fixed the issue right away. You can use the same adhesive, i chose to remove the old adhesive and added new one but i added too much and the charge pins didn't make proper contact so i had to open it up again and remove some
damn, I fixed the error about battery draining, but I can't charge the watch anymore, I have to push very hard the watch into the dock to get them connect...
Hi, I tried to do what you did.. Battery draining issue is resolved but it's not charging anymore. When I was removing the barometer device I saw corrosion which I removed and put the barometer device back to its place.. Ever since its not charging.. Tried to shift the charging points as well to ensure its on the correct plclace.. Nothing still
it is because the pins from the back part of the watch aren't making proper contact internally, maybe you added too much glue when you sealed the watch back up. which is what i did at first. i would recommend opening the watch again and removing all the glue around the edges. once you have removed all the glue around the edges do a dry fit (put the watch together without glue) and place it on the charger, squeeze to see if the watch starts to charge. if it does indicate power you need to use a strong glue that wont create a gap between the two pieces of the watch. if that doesn't work, you can also try to raise the contact points in the motherboard: @ 2:38 on the video you see that orange ribbon where the 4 pins are? well, you can partially peel that off like a sticker (BE CAREFUL IT IS FRAGILE AND CAN TEAR EASILY) to get a piece of metal underneath it to raise those contact points. Then you can cut an small sheet of metal that fits that area from an aluminum can or a razor blade, glue it right underneath the ribbon, this allows the contact points to be closer to the back panel contact points ALSO the i recommend you remove the barometer completely because the corrosion, no matter how small, will drain the battery, you may have scrapped the visible corrosion but its nearly impossible to get all of it without using chemicals.
Hey, i made a quick video explaining this better. i know is confusing i tried to be clear to the best of my abilities. good luck, and let me know how it goes.
Hi@@codefallacy . My amazfit pace pins have coroded and one day I noticed that there is a whole in one of the charging pins. A really tiny spring came out of the whole and I lost it unfortunately. Do you know if it is possible to change the charging pins only on the cover? Or maybe some fix without changing them?
Hi guys, so my amazfit pace has randomly stopped working, it doesn't charge and doesn't boot up, when i put it on dock to charge the screen flashes for a second and then goes black again, the device is not getting detected in windows as well, i have already cleaned the charging pins/points on both the dock and the watch, checked the current in dock as well, the issue is not with the dock Anyone else facing same issue? Any resolution?
Try opening the watch, probably some water got into it. Mine had the screen getting marks and not showing properly the display images, so I opened it, and it had water into it. Bought a new screen, tried it and works like brand new
@@SadeepMTB17 unfortunately im not familiar with the amazfit stratos. I dont believe the Amazfit Stratos suffered from this issue since it was built to be water proof and to be used in swimming. your issue might be something else, i recommend you research amazfit stratos in the XDA Forums to see how others have troubleshoot their issues
Fixing the screen is easy, buy new screen, disassemble the watch, heat the ceramic frame and press the screen, it will come of. Then just rub the old glue out of the frame, and use B7000 glue to assemble the new screen to the ceramic frame (pay attention to the position of the display in the frame, and the frame on the watch chassis
if your watch functions fine, then yes you could over the hole as a preventive measure. but if you are experiencing battery drain issues then you might have to open the watch and remove the barometer sensor since it gets corroded when wet and drains the battery.
