Thank you most sincerely. Also a teacher, my student with special needs tried to sharpen the eraser end.... also non-magnetic😀. I had to remove the two flat head screws, but it works thanks to you! You saved me $50 from my pocket to replace. Thank you!
Thanks so much for this video! It didn’t solve my problem but it got me thinking which helped me solve my own! I homeschool my 6 year old twins and my 7 year old, and my son got exciting about drawing and hopped up to sharpen his pencil and accidentally sharpened his eraser instead! The metal part and eraser was jammed. But we got it fixed thanks to you!
Hello my question is I got Electric pencil sharpener and I was wondering how often do empty the container that the pencil shavings fall into? :-)Thank you for reading my comment
If they didn't want people to take it apart they'd use security screws or have it snap together. I'm actually surprised with how well made the mechanical parts are with this particular sharpener.
It is so good i imported one to germany and it cost me 150 with a converter. Now after a couple years it doesn't work as well anymore. Maybe it is done dunno but i sure as hell will try to save that thing xD
Anyone ever tell you that you could have a decent career as a Norm McDonald voice impersonator? 🤔 Thanks for the video! Hope I got enough tips to fix my 90s era Bosch. Best wishes with the 6th graders. I have a 1st grader who enjoyed stapling my MacBook cord this week...I feel for you.
Thank you so much!! One of my students put the eraser end of the pencil into the sharpener -- jamming the metal part of it into the mechanism. Your video helped us fix the sharpener -- works good as new!!
@@weirdwonderland8095 Well, the plastic would get shredded in the blades and muck up the sharpener. If there's a metal tip on the pen, that would probably stop the motor dead. Why would you want to put a pen in a pencil sharpener? :)
@@weirdwonderland8095 Well, go for it. You can't be sure until you try it for yourself. Just don't use my pencil sharpener when you experiment. Please post the results! :)
I must say I found this to be a peculiarly suspenseful video. 😁 All the while I was thinking, as if addressing you, "I hope for your sake this fixing attempt is successful, otherwise this will have been a time-consuming demonstration of nothing more than why to not try fixing an electrical pencil sharpener, & to just buy another one instead." But the "Yay!" came at "8:19"! Congratulations, man!
This was a great video to get me started. I had to refer to another to take mine apart but this was still a great help. Plus, I got my sharpener running again! Thank you!
I enjoyed your comments and attitude. Thanks for showing this. Now I will try to fix the school-grade pencil sharpener I got for my grandkids which they managed to disable after a couple of weeks!
