I’m moving in July 10th! What can I do this time of year? And what can’t I do? I want to treat my lawn for ticks and bugs like one of your videos and I plan to pull any weeds and treat if needed but is it too late in the summer to fertilize?
Congrats on the move! Depending where you live in the country, I assume it's pretty hot out right now.. If it was me, and not knowing what the previous owners did, I'd put some Spectracide triazicide granules down for bug control and get a basic 10-10-10 fertilizer since it's not super heavy on nitrogen which you want to avoid when it's hot out. If the lawn has weeds, do a post emergent like the hose end Weed Stop, but if you're thinking of overseeding this fall it's too late in the season for pre emergent, so make sure to read the label! That'd be a start and then in the fall assess what you want to do
@@mikeshomeandgarden thank you for your response! I live in TN it’s definitely hot out here! I will treat for bugs do post emergent and hold off on the pre stuff because I do plan to aerate in the fall and overseed! Thanks for all your advice! I’m so excited!
