Mine turns on the fan starts silently then stop and it beeps like it is trying to start and turns off I can't hard reset and I get no picture

Mine died yesterday. tried all the steps here, also tried changing the fuse in the power cable but nope. Sadly it's out of warranty and Microsoft want £254.10 to repair it. I barely use it and I'm not paying that much so sadly my 14 month old Series X will be tossed in the garbage and I'll ebay all my games. But I'm so disappointed, I've not used it a lot and it's in mint condition. I'll not buy another Xbox that's for sure. :(

@@RobinB360 Yeah, I'll admit that's sort of dulled my love of them. Local repair shop won't fix it either as they only replace laser/dvd drive and hdmi ports. but I can see Series X's selling 'for parts' on ebay for around £200 so I'm going to do that and get something back. Mine powered off and won't switch back on 21 days after warranty ended so brought a new one did the same it's only about a month old 😭😭

This didnt help. I tried all the above and still no improvement. My xbox series x makes noise and lights up when power button is turned on however it doesnt fully power up. Please help! Microsoft wants $300 for “hardware malfunction” and that’s absolutely absurd and BS, it worked fine last night!!!

This happened to mine a few weeks ago and am sure there was an update to console and it hasn’t worked since. Light comes on and the fan spins a little then stops . No signal to tv . Edit: just registered my Xbox sx with Microsoft . There you will see if your still in warranty and everything thing is free for repairs. Down side is that if they replace item it’s with a refurbished console. Which I personally find disappointing. As long as it works I don’t suppose it matters .

Strange situation I’m attempting to fix myself but thought I’d post it, my partner and I have 6 month old Xbox’s, both X and S respectively, one night both of our Xbox’s wouldn’t turn on, other devices are all on on the same outlets, both wires have been swapped and tested on different outlets, I’m now heading out to buy new 5amp fuses to see if I can’t replace them as the common denominator in both these situations are the wires, perhaps they blew out and due to the fact they’re both 5a it could be the weaker amp fuses that burst on a minor power outage over night

Thank you for your patience, I was on my annual vacation. It’s not mandatory, to do these steps, but I see what you mean. You should just be able to enjoy your Xbox as it was intended. But in case you run into an issue, maybe it can give you an easy fix to get you back into gaming quickly.

@@RobinB360 yeah crazy think is my Xbox one was reliable didn’t miss a beat zero issues. How do you upgrade something and not use what works to keep it reliable I also have another issue were if I’m to far from my tv controller disconnects and put me out of the game for a good 30 mins I have to play reconnecting controller. But thanks for the video it resolved my problems.

When I start my Series S, it gives off a beep, the light flashes once for a sec and then it goes off. No cord change (ps4 pro cord), no power cycle worked. Wonder if it is the power supply?!

Seems like it, but could also be the power cable port. If you still have warranty on your Xbox, I have a link for you in the description so you can have it checked out.

Mine wont turn on but i can charge my phone through the usb port on the front and back so that means power is getting to the console just not turning on, wont turn on with a controller or remote play, very upsetting, never had a console break on me, playing it one day then wont turn on the next.

I came home from work and it just doesn’t want to turn on, it makes no noise or any sign of life and I did everything to try to fix it it just doesn’t work. And it’s out of warranty I’ve have it I think for a year or so

That is unfortunate.. does it have enough ventilation room? Also have you tried cleaning it? You could try that, but before you do, you can contact Microsoft to see if they could still repair it within warranty, even though it’s older than a year. Sometimes you can have some luck if it is just a little bit outside of the warranty periode. Best of luck! 🤞

Was it hot maybe it has a safety system if the fan is faulty won’t start until you repair the fan might want to see a tech for that one.

same issue. And it was only 2 months out of warranty, and they refused to replace it with known issues (should be a re-call at this point). There are a couple videos on the channel "Go Gamers" with solutions you can show your repair guy.

All cause I opened up my console to clean it, I didn't fuck anything up at all I didn't touch anything inside beside the fan and that's it! even then I didn't mess anything up. As soon as I put it back together my power button don't work and the picture on the screen is small for some reason like wtf man these consoles are such garbage now a days, taking apart consoles back in the day never did anything like this to it this is bs hopefully one of your tips works man.

@@RobinB360 I still have hope in me despite trying literally everything, I don't even see anyone commenting on this issue so I can't seek help on the matter, I have no idea why my screen suddenly got small I don't understand. I'm still in shock with disbelief I had it unplugged all night gave it that rest it deserved, I woke up and was immedietly depressed cause I just knew that probably didn't help it all, at 26 I didn't think I'd be depressed over video games I think I'm getting hit harder cause I know I can't just walk in a store and get a replacement plus its been way over a year my Warranty is long overdue.

Our xbox series x is definitely out of warranty. Been having trouble since we got it. when you push the power button, the power light blinks a few times, if the fan under the top starts to spin, it will power up an work perfectly....however, if that fan doesn't start spinning on its own, the power light blinks a few times then just shuts down. won't turn on at all. sometimes it takes a few hours of trying..sometimes it takes 3 to 4 weeks of trying before it will actually power on. any suggestions?

@@maxwelloforiboakye2292 I replaced the power supply-seemed to fix a lot of others'. Mine worked good for a couple days then right back to 2 days of not turning on. This morning, nothing, now this afternoon I tried and it started. Very frustrating! If you find a solution let me know. I did test the old power supply according to an online guide-tested out just fine so it wasn't that.

Fellas always plug your console directly into the wall, never ever plug it into extensions. That'll save you from startup errors. I don't have a series x yet but I stopped having startup problems on my one x when I stopped plugging it into extensions.

Tried all 5 steps, nothing seems to be working sadly I don't understand because I used it this morning it was fine , I come back to use it a few hours later and it won't boot . The light comes on I here the sound , then it just idles with nothing on screen till it finally shuts it self down after a few mins . Update : sent to service centre, clearly the new design has some issues , they replaced it with a new one in a week's time but I'm close to service centre

Hi I have tried everything you said nothing worked only had my console 5 weeks. It was working the day before then I go switch it on nothing my retailer will not replace it or give me a refund I have contacted Microsoft and its gunna get sent back to be fixed I hope. I just can't believe they will not exchange it for a new one. I had 30 days if anything went wrong I would of got a replacement or my money back it was 36 days when it broke down 👇 😥

Have to be honest - my series x just sucks big! 😂 After 6 months faulty drive, claimed and fixed, than after 6 months again faulty disc drive, i have decided to go all digital, and today this fault - xbox wont turn on no matter what you do. So it will be claimed again

👁👄👁 my Xbox series x was off.. I was watching hulu on my TV. my cable box was off. They're all on the SAME surge protector.. lightning hit, TV flickered and came right back. My modem lost a few lights and I figured nothing of it. Decided to play Xbox and it wont turn on. My TV box is dead too. Just realized my lights that aren't illuminating are the ports my cable box and Xbox were plugged into 🫡 god speed Mr Xbox. Have a fun trip to the dump. I dont understand out of ALL the devices on the surge protector only my TV survived and it was the only one on. 😂 what kinda rotten luck have I got here?!

Same here, yesterday my xbox series x and adapter of wifi router died due to surge, my ps5 was also turned on but it survived the sudden surge of power, i really applaud sony for their hardware. Xbox was not even one month old, I've applied for repair as it's still under warranty. I guess if xbox can't survive this much of surge, i doubt i would ever buy a xbox again in future.
