So cleaning alone didn't work, but I realize that my controller now works but ONLY if I keep the lid off and really hold down the circuit board in tight while pressing buttons. I think inside the circuit board is loose or not fully touching the keypads. How can I fix this so I don't have to open every time I want to pause or rewind? lol
I used your suggestion and cleaned tje circuit board with alcohol and q-tips and it worked. The board was dirty. Now my dvd remote control works again. Thank you very much.
At first I thought something was wrong with my remote so I watched your video and tried fixing it, turns out my remote was still working, but the dvd player doesn't respond to the remote when I press a button, any ideas?
I had the same problem, the Blue Ray DVD player was working, and could be manually operated, but did not have a "play" button on the machine; and, the REMOTE was not working for some weird reason (batteries new). Opening and cleaning the REMOTE SOLVED the problem.
Thankyou! Was the perfect solution. I didn't have isopropyl alc so I just used soft qtips to clean the circuits and I could see the black on qtips after that was junk off the circuit board.
My Blue Ray DVD player was working, and played the previews; but did not have a "play" button on the machine, and the remote was not responding to any command (batteries new). Opening and cleaning the REMOTE SOLVED the problem. Thank you so much for your video. 5 STARS
Well, your solution worked temporarily. I had to hold the buttons down really long time to get a response, sometimes not. So I went to amazon.com and ordered a new one, that now works perfect. Sometimes you just to have to do what you have to do.
