I can't even get Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Cmd Prompt to come up before getting the 0x24 BSOD error. I also get a BSOD error 0x7B when I change the Bios to use ATA instead of RAID. This is a 32bit Windows XP Pro machine with legacy software that cannot be re-installed on another system or newer OS. I can connect to the drive and view files when using Knoppix 7.0 as an OS running from CD. Boot.ini and hal.dll are both present under the System32 folder. Thoughts?
I also had it but no luck booting in safe mode with prompt, still blue screen. What I did is take the drive out and connect it to another PC via USB adapter to scan and fix the drive. It worked!
another radical methods:1. if you can enter windows desktop copy faster with usb 3.0 important folder or photos later format your HDD 2.try changhe HDD and back to your HDD copy your important files in a pendrive and format. 3.if you dont care about your information just format your HDD or change it if is damaged
PROBLEM SOLVED FOR THIS TYPE OF ERROR OR SIMILAR!!!! I HAD TO WRITE IN CAPITAL TO ATTRACT YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS SOLUTION. YOU MUST HAVE A RECOVERY DISC TO DO THIS THOUGH. (BUT YOU MAY ALSO TRY SAFE MODE) IT TOOK ME 8 DAYS TO FIGURE THIS TRICK OUT. *WHEN YOU SWITCH THE LAPTOP ON; IMMEDIATELY PULL OUT THE BATTERY AS THE ERROR SHOWS. *GET YOUR SCREW DRIVER AND UNSCREW THE NUTS HOLDING YOUR RAM OR RAMS (IF YOU HAVE 2) AT THE BACK OF YOUR LAPTOP. * WAIT FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE FIXING THE RAM/ RAMS BACK. * FINALLY, GET YOUR RECOVERY DISC AND SLOT IT IN. YOUR COMPUTER WILL ACCEPT THE RECOVERY DISC AND RECOVER YOUR LAPTOP TO FACTORY SETTINGS. JOB DONE. X
I get this error after windows has already booted up. It seems to happen at random. Sometimes my computer will run while for about an hour or even several and then the blue screen will come up. Sometimes it will happen sooner. Naturally, I'm not sure what causes it. It's only started in about the last week and a half. I tried a system restore but it had an error while restoring. I've tried both virus scans and disc checks as said in the video. Both came up normal. The computer usually seems to be running normally right up until the blue screen. I'm not running a lot of programs or cpu intensive programs, usualy just firefox and the cpu usage and Physical memory usage seems low even right up until the moment of crashing (or it peaks too quickly for me to tell). I really have no idea what's going on and it's really frustrating.
Catherine Cruickshank I know it's been over 3yrs Hey who knows you might still have the computer and the issue I had it on my laptop send it in for repair several times never got fixed I searched for over a yr Tried numerous suggestions and failed So annoyed with that random bsod but didnt give up I found it was an update causing it the whole time I uninstalled the update Problem solved Search windows update causing bsod it will give you 3 updates Search your list of updates in control panel You may have one or all three Uninstall them Hope this helps someone Now back to searching for a fix for my PC :)
Wow, I guess my BSOD is worse than what your video can resolve. My Blue Screen pops up for a split second halfway through the Safe Mode boot up, and then restarts everything. I had to Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure just to be able to see that my Blue Screen's Stop Code was a 0x24. But now, with your video's direction to use Command Prompt, I'm unable to even follow through because once I select it, it still Blue Screen restarts immediately after everything I try. So far, after some research, some had similar problems and mentioned Blown Caps on the motherboard. So, cracking open my laptop might be my next avenue unless someone suggests something otherwise.
I get all the way up to step 5 stage 4 and then restarted the blue screen so I don't know if that's normal but when it reboots it starts the stages over any tips?
Had that same error on a computer that I installed an OS onto and that 5 step chkdsk process didn't fix it, tried it twice, once on the account I created, and again on the admin account. A few other errors popped up likc 0x0000005 & 0x000000c5 ... going to redo the install.
bro help me when those safe mode option comes and after i click on safe mode with command....then some files load normally as shown then my computer restarts and those option comes star window normally etc etc plZz help and reply plzzz
My PC usually does that automatically after that bluescreen. I just got one, it didn't do it this time. And no, don't think it fixes anything, because I've had it happen to me several times, even when it has done that process. But my PC have been giving me bsods ever since I bought the shit. After just one month, it gave me one. I had it in for service 3 times before I got tired of it and bought a laptop. Every time the store said there was nothing wrong with it. Yeah clearly, when it gives me a bsod even when it's installing hardware updates or Windows updates. They probably just ran a ram stresstest and formatted it :P My brother did the same thing, didn't crash. BUT a friend of mine (over the net) who's a programmer said that test isn't to find out if there's something wrong with the RAMs, that test just checks if they won't overheat. Even if there's something wrong with them in one section of the memory, they might not crash the pc if the test doesn't go where the error is. Or something like that. He said I should do this www.memtest86.com/download.htm#free [27.11.2014 22:06:13] REVELATiON / Yandere Studios: Burn the free version into a CD or install in an USB stick And test your RAM ----------------------- I haven't bothered with it :P I'll buy a Mac next time I'm buying something new. FUCK WINDOWS, so damn sick of that glitchy shit. I use the PCs the same fucking way that the fuckers who say it's the user's fault mostly do, and I still get problems. So fuck you guys who will think the many issues I've experienced with Windows and PC is my fault. I use them normally, don't install shit and so on. (Sorry for my bad language, just sick and tired of PCs and its crap. Ever since my XP PC I've experienced shit with them)
