In this video we demonstrate how to fix the majority of brake problems on an UPPAbaby Cruz via proper lubrication (this applies to problems of stuck brakes /brakes won't release, loose brakes / one or both wheels won't brake, and rattling / ticking noise issues eminating from the back wheels).

Amazing vid! A lot of people give up on their broken strollers but with a bit of grit and skill, many people can get it fixed!

Did you end up releasing a video where you show how to disassemble the brake mechanism? I think my binding may have lead to something physically breaking inside (cable?). Can't figure out how to get into the system without drilling out some rivets.

How can I fix the brake pin? The brake pin is not retracting when flipping the brake flip. After watching this video I removed the brake and check but the problem is the pin not moving. Please help!!!

Hello, thanks for the video. I have a hand me down older uppa baby Cruz. It’s the one with one push down brake on the bar. It seems like either that part will not push down, or the brake lock won’t engage within the wheel. I tried to take off the part where the brake lock is but could not. Unfortunately I do not have a stroller repair person near me. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? I also tried a little WD-40.

Do you have a video on repairing the brake mechanism? The brake on one wheel in my uppababy Cruz is stuck on - won’t release.

No, unfortunately. But this is a rotation-based system, so usually this is just rust or grit inside. Lots of lubrication and working the system on and off (pushing the pin as well) will probably fix it. :)

Hi Any chance you can do a video showing how to repair the brake itself - one of the brakes won’t go back inside and not activating so one wheel is constantly locked - any advice please?
