Thanks for this video, but PLEASE do not follow this, hence you will get screen damaged. The internal screen is extremely thin, like a paper and it will get 100% damaged. Thanks to this TRY I got screen damaged. Your video shows that screens comes so easy but it looks that You just put a new screen without adhesive inside and just take it out. I could post here pictures how screen can be damaged. Avoid this guidance or you will have to pay 120 quid for a new screen. Im only trying to be honest here and replaced hundreds of screens and never had any problems before. Screen is extremely sensitive and will get damaged 100%. Once again avoid this step by step.

i am glad i had the sense to try this on a already broken lcd as following this videos instructions will definately end in a broke lcd... the screen/glass does not come away from the frame as shown in the video. you have already removed the screen before filming this is very misleading and will cause alot of people to follow your instruction and break their phones..you should know better!

Going to echo other comments here. Most of this video is fine (though made to look much easier than it actually is), but the part about separating the screen (around 2:50-3:30) is totally misleading. I wish I had read the comments below first and had watched a couple of other videos. Following the instructions on this video I tore the touch screen between the glass and the LCD. Thanks a lot. New screen assemblies for the S6 are $70-120!

Dangerously oversimplified video that I am certain will result in many damaged phones. Tsk tsk. Shameful. This is really harmful because it encourages unskilled and unscrupulous individuals to take a chance at this, which is literally one of the hardest cell phone repairs in existence.

Lots of ppl are complaining that the video makes the procedure look oversimplified. This is exactly why i watch them. You are one of the few guys out there that would simplify the steps so I don't have to watch a 30-60min video of some noobes who do repairs and don't edit them undoing every single screw etc. These vids are probably for the more experienced repair person who just want to know the steps and already know that an LCD in any phone is something to be careful with when removing. :P

Just a question, when you heat up the glue to take the screen off, and after you have finished replacing the part and ready to reapply the screen back on, is their any need to reapply glue? Or can u simply reheat and stick it back on.

*My charging port on my s6 broke so I just bought a wireless charger instead of risking breaking a $160 screen. I got the samsung Fast wireless charger and my phone used to fast charge with my usb fast charger but the s6 doesn't have fast wireless charging capabilities and it takes forever to wireless charge. Just thought I'd put that out there for y'all.*

you are missing antennas... when u pull the back glass off. there should be an antenna on the bottom right and bottom left..(phone long way towards u) . me thinks u cut them off on previous open attempt

Hi, just changed usb port as per video above. Thought it was great. phone is charging turns on etc. However now i am not getting any network access. I have "bars" of reception at times but says i am not on registered network etc. any ideas? may i have damaged something or would any of the connections have affected it? thanks

+Jack Dawson did you make sure you cot the right REV number and model number to the original part,, its like the samsung s5 charging port this is different REV and versions ...same as samsung s4.. there is REV 19 and REV 24,, neither will interchange.. for example in the normal s6 there is REV (0.6) and REV (06A)

When I do these repairs, which is pretty frequent, I always ask the customer what model number they have on their s6. There are two different charge ports for the s6.

Here's the honest truth, the LCD screen doesn't come off that easy. You'll probably end up cracking it but having to replace at too based on this guy's method

There is so many things that can go wrong with this. Worst case scenario is you put everything back together and one or multiple things don't work on the phone due to either a missed / loose connection and / or screen damage. Potentially ending up with more problems than you started with. For me, this is not worth the hassle unless you are a professional.

Is there some method to at least jury rig the charge port to work instead of going through this insanely complicated procedure? The phone, these days, is NOT worth this much trouble. However, if nothing else, I'd like to get a charge on the battery in order to remove the data.

I've seen so many people saying this video is false. NO, it's not. YOU just don't have the patience to remove the cover carefully so you broke it! To the people saying "it gives a false impression because it makes it look easy to remove". Why would you assume a factory adhered glue within a product would be easy to remove in the first place? This video need thumbs down. DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Commentators have reported broken screen as a result of following this video. The process is much more delicate and risky and not as oversimplified as this video makes it out to be. You've been warned.

Why would you thumb a video down due to your own (or their own) inexperience? Anyone who has removed a screen on any samsung phone from the s5 and up knows that it's not as easy as you see in the video. If you're new to doing any type of repairs that involves removing an LCD AND Digitizer intact should have known that shit like this is almost impossible to do right on the first try. Instead of being cheap and risking shit yourself, why not just take it to someone who knows how to do it? It's literally that simple.

Chris Overton s5 was easy. it's the stupid iPhone style glass back that's the problems this video is bad because firstly she's using a broken back so we don't know if using picks is a good idea or if we need to use something thinner to ensure the back dosnt break secondly she dosnt explain why you have to that the Lcd off I personally do not see why it's needed to come off . the video also don't say how to put it back together

I agree!, the glass seperates from the lcd whe I loosened the adhesive so the lcd became damaged and digitizer didn't work.

Dont use this video. Not only is the LCD and glass attached around the edge it is a GIANT sticker in the middle. 99% of this repair is getting the middle of the LCD off without breaking it. Do not use this cooking channel video where he already took the screen off or had a non broken one to show. you will break it if you dont properly remove it.

ça sert a rien de lever l’écran et surtout faite très délicatement si vous vouler le faire. NE SUIVEZ SURTOUT PAS CETTE VIDÉO POUR RETIRER L'ECRAN car je viens de le faire en suivant cette vidéo et j'ai tout péter. cet vidéo est truquer c'est beaucoup plus délicat que ça. Je suis vraiment très en colère contre cette nana qui joue a la vidéo simplifier pour des opérations aussi délicate. Allez plutôt voir de vrai vidéo c'est juste un conseil amical.
