"if it's not the one of the problems mentioned, then it could be any other piece of hardware and you'll have to figure it out for yourself" ... Cool, dude, thanks
OMG, YES. I just build a pc and I don't have a pc monitor yet, so I tried displaying it on my smart TV. Nothing, the computer comes on but it doesn't seem to display or connect to my smart tv
@@Daisy30y03 lol same here, my friend helped build my new pc and I’m using his old parts which worked fine before and now when I use them monitor dosent display
YES THANK YOU! i cant f believe i havent plugged in graphics...it was in motherboard and monitor never actually displayed system logs, only when Windows it already started. Than i tried to reinstall Windows and had no system display just...check the cable...omfg
Perfect basic troubleshooting video. My friend shipped me a PC cross-country and it wouldn't start. I was very focused on the video card, but as this video points out, if the mouse/keyboard isn't being powered it may be a RAM issue. Turns out one of the sticks of RAM needed a very firm reseat. Did that and everything worked. Thanks very much!
You absolute mad lad 🤝 I spent literally hours trying to figure out why my computer wasn't sending an HDMI signal after rearranging my room and this whole time I was plugged into the motherboard instead of the graphics card 😂 Thank you for this video
I gotta give you huge thanks, as someone who enjoys having fancy tech but isn't the most savvy, I never would have figured out the motherboard vs graphics card port issue. Thank you so much!
Honestly man you saved me sooo much I really appreciate it! Everyone this guy deserves a like and a subscription because that’s what I’m gonna give him
Fully assembled my PC whole PC lit up nice and pretty ...."no signal" flashes across my monitor its been four hours since I've took it all apart and put it back together again. Not even this video helped
I changed the resolution on my monitor to match the resolution of my drawing tablet (for some reason the tablet is not detected as a separate display) and then my monitor just stopped displaying anything. Just black.
Thank you so much for the video! I didn't realize I had the DisplayPort and HDMI on my graphics card because they were covered by stoppers. You helped me fix this simple but frustrating problem I had been struggling with for hours :)
THANK YOU LORD GOD HIGHEST SAVIOUR POWERFULEST MIGHTIEST HOLIEST MIGHTIEST JESUS HOD SPIRIT MIGHTIEST CHRIST GOD SPIRIT IN HEAVEN AND EARTH AMEN AMEN 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 FOR LIFE AND EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN AND EARTH AMEN AMEN 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tysm. My uncle gifted me his old pc and I was so scared that I'd broken it but I just had the HDMI cable plugged in to the motherboard and not the graphics card. This video was very helpful and I'm so glad you got straight to the tips and didn't ramble on for 2 min
I had my main monitor randomly stopped working. I changed the port which the display cable was connected to, changed from displayport to HDMI and tried connecting it to my motherboard. Nothing worked. Then after i while i changed the power cable from my main screen into another cable from my second monitor and then it worked. Tech is weird.
No word of a lie this. I unplugged my old monitor and plugged in a new gaming monitor. No signal. I unplugged it and plugged in the old one. No signal. I started to wonder what was going on, I don't like it when my tech doesn't work. I tried all the usual things, plugging unplugging, then I used my device to try to find a solution. I found you on youtube on my device. Then I realised something. I had unplugged the hdmi, and plugged it back into my motherboard, rather than the graphics card. Your vid saved me. True story.
I was losing hope and I figured this was another video where it works for everyone else and it my specific problem. But, to my pleasant surprise you delivered and gave enough solid solutions that one of them worked! Thank you so much, liked the video of course.
Thank you for this information! I was using a known-working GPU with known-working cables and monitors, I was about to start looking on the motherboard when I came across your video and found that the RAM was slotted in the A2-B2 SO-DIMMs and when I put them in correctly the display came back!! Very helpful!!!
I thought it was my RAM. Turns out your tip #1 saved me. The reason it wasn’t turning on is because my HDMI1 on my monitor display was on the wrong channel. Thank you so much. I was going to take this into the repair shop lol.
Thank you for this. I thought my hdmi port went bad and was getting aggravated since I ruled out the cable and monitor being the problem with known good items. The problem was in fact operator error on my part as I plugged the cord into the wrong hdmi port on the computer itself. I was plugging into the motherboard one like you showed with the arrow instead of the graphics card one.
Absolutely wild. This happened to me right after a windows update so I was sure it had to do with that. Had no other ideas so figured it was worth a try to reseat the RAM, and lord if the monitors didn't just fire right up LOL. Thanks so much!
Lots of the comments here look like spam to give viewers the illusion of a successful troubleshooting guide. I can't say you saved my life. Just wasted my time.
You forgot one thing... Monitors and TV's have their own onboard processors of some sort or another these days. They lock up and turn inputs off and require a reset of some sort such as rebooting the PC or disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable before the HDMI input comes back to life. The joys of everything becoming computerized.
Turns out for me it was external hard drive that causing the issue for some reason it your monitor is 100% working and have black screen then remove external hard drive that worked for me
Posting in the hopes this helps someone… I tried everything I could find online to no avail. What worked for me was fully removing my Ram, placing one stick in which didn’t work so then took it out and put the other stick in alone and it worked. Shut down PC, added over Ram to the other slot and works like a dream now
Very grateful against you! I thought i ruin something in my motherboard card, then i went disconnected one cell of ram, and it work. Thanks very much! -FrenchBass
You literally just saved me so much trouble bought a 2k gaming setup pc. I was pluggimg the 4k ultra hd hdmi cable into the motherboard and not the graphics port. I appreciate your help liked the video
My monitor wont even open the menu when i press the button, and its brand new. Also, yes, it is plugged in and powered on, it just keeps alternating between "analog" and "hdmi"
Dude i cant thank you enough, everywhere on the internet ive only found stuff about resetting bios, removing cmos batteries, cleaning ramsticks, and whatnot, and all this time i didnt even know that the graphics driver had its own Hdmi port, until now because of you, thank you and i wish you all the luck in the world
I've been trying to contact NZXT tech support for over four hours. I found your video and, with your help, it took me five minutes to fix. You are a god. Thanks.
