How to FIX contact adhesive after it goes bad. 

I can really appreciate how much you stressed the safety part of this I think you did a good job at warning people about that danger. to me that's a responsible person when you're trying to show somebody what to do. Oh and not only that but thank you I now am gonna be able to save this little bit of contact cement I have left although I'm not using the stuff you had but I can see in the comments that it also says I can use acetone which some other people also have said in videos. so it is confirmed I can use acetone. Believe me I'm grateful for these videos because I don't have any money to buy anything else and I need to fix something badly that I need. And I do have acetone and a small amount of rubber cement that I need. it's about as dry as yours was. it's kind of stretchy but it still flows. The reason I'm doing this is Because I already tried to patch once and it didn't work and I think it's because the rubber cement is a little bit too dry and it's not sticking to the surfaces very well initially

Use Acetone. Acetone is a good thing we for Contact cement.I learned that from my wood shop Teacher.back in 1975.

Have you ever used the evolution stick cleaner for this I'm skeptical because it says its a cleaner and bith a cleaner and thinner....!?
