Abbey Yung has transformed my hair. Thank you for having having her on your show. She does do diligence before she speaks anything regarding hair. I have such respect and appreciation for her 💓

I would like you to speak with ManesbyMell. She is a hairstylist that specializes in curly hair.

I follow her too she has so much knowledge based on research and doesn’t like the curly girl method for good reasons. Her cutting your own hair at home content is also super helpful.

I have kinky curly hair and Abbey has helped my hair so much. I started using silicones and my hair looks and feels so much better. It’s been 6 months and my hair started looking shinier and feeling softer and less breakage

So glad my favorite beauty/skin care expert had my favorite hair care influencer @abbeyyung as a guest today! 🖤 I never miss a #skinthusiast podcast... @AmyKoberling always asks the questions I have in my head but don't have the platform to ask! With the majority of other influencers, I end up feeling like I'm just being sold something. Thank you for sharing science-based content with integrity that we can trust from drug store to high end options. P.S. my skin is soooo happy now that I double cleanse and keep my routine simple - thank you!!

I tried the Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner for my fine dry hair on Abbey's rec, and it's the first conditioner I've ever felt passionate about.

What about the shampoo?

@@kate3264 It's pretty good. I use it because I like the scent of the duo, and outside of my clarifying shampoo, I don't have another one that I prefer.

The olfactory receptor is in the nasal cavity, not the hair.

6:22 I hardcore relate. I used to abuse my hair to the 10s using bleach bc I love maintaining the blond I had when I was a child. But the damage is severely catching up to me as I’ve forgone my hair growth journey, so I too had to find an alternative to bleach. Luckily I have an amazing stylist who knows how to work a high lift blond job.

I started using the ogx coconut oil because while i have fine hair and an oily scalp my ends are a little bit drier. And i love it. Ive only used it for like 5 washes so far but man it makes my hair feel great

Are proteins okay to use for most people, without causing heaviness on the hair , even for those with thinner hair?
@AmyKoberling
@AmyKoberling 7 месяцев назад
yes! this is a big misconception. You just want to make sure you're properly cleansing to avoid product buildup (which is the case with any conditioning products not just protein-rich ones) @@jennagoin4572

@@AmyKoberlingokay this is super helpful!!! So essentially, with using silicones and proteins (and any other conditioning product), would it be okay to use a type of clarifying shampoo on each wash as to effectively cleanse of any build up?
@queenofstitcheswarrior2668
@queenofstitcheswarrior2668 2 месяца назад
@@jennagoin4572depending on your scalp needs and how often you wash, work out etc. Just try things out to look what works best for you and always condition after to nurture the hair
