How To Fix Dark Screen Laptop / No Backlight 

guys watch carefully what he did there, he pointed the small fuse and he removed completely but if you notice right there exactly he changed the fuse.. maybe he cut the video when he replaced it, for me i noticed that he replaced it.

You literally just saved me $250 dollars. I removed the screen like you did and properly connected the little plug, it was a bit loose and works perfectly!!

If anyone doesn't want to risk taking the screen apart, try pressing down thr bottom under underneath the screen, worked for me.

Omg thank you. I just disconnected and reconnected the cable and now my screen works again.

Before replacing anything, always check that the lcd ribbon cables aren't just loose. Mine just came loose a bit, it had picture but no backlight, after reconnecting the loose cable it was all ok again.

I have same issue with Asus x52f. It was fine before updates then had dark screen on restart. It's perfectly functional when connected to an external monitor. Any ideas why it went dark after updating?
