Great Video, THX. In my Case (X1850 - 2 x SC6000M) you have first to put on the Player with the Drive, than the other one, at least the X1850. Works great, only by one Song every 500 the Issue is going on, but when i switch on the other deck, everythings go on correctly for many hours, and than same again. I can life with it, I'm not a pro like you are bro.. THX again for the videos.
Thanks for this man. This was giving me a headache every time I load up. Still happening a problem over a year later, surprising they haven't found a mix for this.
Thank you this is so informative to us Denon Dj's learning this PRIME system like me. I hope you can check out the channel and seee the Prime 4 in use and growing to the SC or LC [havent made up my mind] addidtions.
I commented this in a reply below but thought it might help ....as I agree, the comment re network ports and auto detection, is important - I think many people might miss this. As per the manual and most setups like this, It's always recommended to turn on your players and connected devices first, then mixer, followed by your output devices... but if this fix works then... Below is for connecting 2 players to the mixer... with Dual Layer A and B The ports you connect the network cables to, will determine your layout and detection..... If like me, you use channels 2 and 3 (the middle channels on your mixer) as Decks 1 and 2/ Layer A and then Channels 1 and 4 as Decks 3 and 4/Layer B (inside to outside) then your network cable should be in ports 2 and 3 respectively....and if you prefer a traditional left to right setup, then ports 1 and 3 will be correct. If you want outside to inside then ports 1 and 4 are correct. Ie Deck 1 and 4/ Layer A and Decks 2 and 3 Layer B. I know I'm commenting a year after this vid was made, so I mean no disrespect but hope it helps.... I'm sure this has been resolved but if not, just double check your network cables as they determine the bpm monitoring between player and mixer, amongst other things.
I don't have an issue. It's on auto and the cables are plugged in port 2 for deck 1&3 and port 3 for deck 2&4. 3 - 1 - 2 - 4 My cue lights are as per deck colour and I never need to touch the connect button.
I used to have the same issue, and since I've plugged this way (like written in the user manual) no issue at all. And make sure to power on the system like said in the video.
x1800 and sc5000 here. been dealing with this same dance since 2.0 dropped. Denon support is useless on the matter. still and issue for me as of 3.2....
I have my mixer unconnected and stand-alone with only a power cord - and it is still in that crazy loop where it doesn't properly turn on - I heard it described as 'Vegas Lights'. Caught in a loop and never turning on.
The x1850 manual states that any player connected to port 1 or 2 of the LAN switch in the mixer will be linked to channel 1 and 2 while any player connected to port 3 or 4 on the mixer will be assigned channel 3 and 4. Maybe this issue appears due to the mixer being in "auto" assign mode and both players being connected to ports that will assign them to channel 1 and 2?

Had Something similar and didnt Know that Deck on the left had to be in network 1 and deck on the right had to be in Netpwrk Channel 3 assuming your only using 2 decks - I was using Left Deck Channel 1 and right deck Channel 2 but that doesnt work - not simple i Guess
@@TheDJLab Which version number? I ask because I bought an X1850 with 1.3 (and I'm having the same issues). The 1.5 version it's not available for download, DENON removed it from their downloads page. Thanks.
