I had a bad condition where I felt like it was the charging cable that was making it and I felt like I had to hold it exectly in the right spot (which in retrospection was right). Found this video and it helped a ton together with other video, I just used some roll of tape and it did the job, thanks for showing the whole process!

My brother, when I put the charging cable in, it turns on by itself. Is this what happened?

I have 4 ps3 controllers and only one works. Two of them keep acting like I'm pressing up and down really fast and won't let me choose anything. I dismantled one and tried the extra cardboard under the sponge but it still didn't work

Mine when I push back 3 it activate R2 I tried everything it doesn't work.something else when I get in with it on the game they say push any button no button work as soon as I get in on the game all of them work

Windows95 is too old. You need win98, make a partition of your c: or you have another hdd to install another OS.....

Does it get power? Can you see all lights flashing when you plug it in?

Maybe you damaged the button connection to the board somewhere or you have oil from your fingers on the inside of the button, on the contacts or on the black carbon disc.

we are not putting it on processing unit nor the bus itself, it only touches plastic that has the bus on the other side so it doesn't have direct contact. It will remain cold af

Excuse me pleaseeeee hellllpp!!!! When ever I put my charger in my controller it dosent show any battery level or that its charging, only one light is lit up, and the only sign that comes up when I put the charger in is "-" like a MINUS SYMBOL like where the battery is suppost to be

HowToIT yes the controller works but when the charger is in or not, it will have a symbol "-" so I can't tell if its charging or not

But if you plug it in the lights on the controller show that it is charging and the controllers knows when it's low battery?

HowToIT alright so what exactly happens I'm gonna try and make this as clear as I possibly can. When I turn my controller on, only one light turns on. But when I check to see if battery is nearlly dead it comes up with "-" a minus sign. Then I plug in charger and same thing happens. I reset the controller, then turn it back on, one light comes up. And it shoes that I only have one bar left of battery. Then when I plug in charger again it goes back to the " - " sign. And when ever I play advanced warfare (only game I play) while I'm in a middle of the game it keeps disconnecting. And its really annoying. I tried charging it on my PC, and it worked for 2 mins. But then all lights started flashing, then I take it out and play the game, and it says please plug in charger, (nearlly dead), even tho I charged it. And the fucking minus sign comes up again. Then disconnecting every 3 seconds. I haven't found any fix on the minus sign. Nor have I ever seen a RU-vid post something similar to what happen to me, not to mention the evil minus sign
