How to fix error 0x80300024 when installing windows 10, during the clean install process, you get error "we could not install windows in the location you chose 0x80300024 Please check your media drive." In this video I will show you step by step on how to fix this error code. You can also unplug all drives from the computer, apart from the drive you are installing windows on.

Very easy fix when when installing windows 10 or other versions of windows and you get error 0x80300024 "we could not install windows in the location you chose 0x80300024 Please check your media"

In my case, the error disappears when I have Launch CSM Enabled, because my main HDD is MBT.

I got the error “ vga card is not supported by uefi driver” after disabling CSM. It got enabled again automatically. I changed all the settings in CSM from Legacy to UEFI and now it’s finally letting me install Windows without this error. Thanks for this video

That is a sweet gaming monitor that you got, giving me monitor envy. Is the 1TB installation drive a M.2 NVMe drive? Just curious, I have clean installed Win10 on MBR SATA HDD before on CSM enabled CSM/UEFI mobo.

Small tip: For older models just change the boot setting to UEFI and it should work

holy... i was about to lose my shit after i a purchased a pc from a friend and i installed my own SSD with windows into it. So i decided to delete the windows from the old HDD and SSD that were inside and only keep mine, which somehow broke the windows files on my SSD aswell. Tried everything and was about to just give up on it, when i saw your video which actually worked. Cheers :)

Struggling with this on a HP PAVILLION q-188. i get this error message when in either legacy or uefi mode. Ive converted from mbr to gpt using diskpart to no avail, both my ssd and installation media both work in a seperate laptop with no issue.(update) a sata type m.2 ssd in this machine works just fine ;)

what is you can't find the security boot on the Bios? under "boot" or "advanced" don't have secure boot option to disable. Do you have any idea?

I now tried to install Windows 10 21H2 and it seems it doesn't want to be installed on a non-GPT drive even if my BIOS is in CSM mode/Legacy. This didn't happen before.

Help i tried this and all my HDDs disappeared form the BIOS itself. I can see them listed on the bios EASY mode but no way to select them and drop them into the BOOT SEQ box window (which is empty). Even in ADVANCED MODE i cant see the HDD BBS priorities etc. Theres no way to pick a disk now to boot from after doing the factory keys restore thing. What do i do ? Plz help system rendered useless now, i regret having tried this and promise not to try it again. Plz support me and get me back up on my feet here. Thanks in advance.

Disabling CSM support makes all my drives disappear to the bios, literally nothing on the boot menu not even the windows usb. Thought my motherboard was dying for a second.

Have the same problem. Theres no CSM support button at all in my BIOS. Aso it doesnt have secure boot options. Its quite a recent MB from GigaByte with M.2 slots etc so its not some backward board either. :(

I have an Asus motherboard too, but when I disable the CSM the SSD Nvme simply "disappears", that is, the install software can't see the drive. Is there a solution or that too?

I found you only need to delete all partitions and it will work without going through the bios thing. It does not need to be as complex as that usually turning off secure boot is enough. Never had issues this way!

That's not a problem. That's just how Windows works. I made changes in the registry and other places to prevent a forced update. Windows didn't care. It wrote over all of my hacks and settings and installed 2004 anyway. *shakes fist at the Microsoft Gods*

@@HeenaPatel253 I did, plus a few registry hacks. That's didn't stop Windows from overwriting everything I did. I've been using a MS OS since the days of DOS so I'm not new to Windows. But MS has really upped their forceful coding game in the last few years.
