How To Fix Expired and Unlicensed Adobe Photoshop Error on MacBook

If you use Adobe Photoshop on MacBook then you have probably seen this error message "This unlicensed Adobe app will be disabled soon. Unlicensed apps may contain malware that exposes your files and personal data to security risks. Adobe provides a 10-day grace period to resolve this issue with exclusive discounts on replacement apps.
This means that your subscription has expired or the license information in your Adobe account needs to be updated. After this error message the application will hang and need to stop or close with the help of the task manager and all your unsaved work will lost.
So, here's how we fix this expired license issue for Adobe Photoshop on MacBook.

Works for Photoshop 2022 v 23.3 (U2B patch) after deletion of: - cai-helper - adobe installers, adobe sync, adobe CC folders (located at programs->utilities) - MMXCore & FastCore plugins - all plugins inside «Filters» folder Run Photoshop without internet connection, wait for several minutes. Turn on your internet and do whatever you want to. Thanks to the author.

Bro, You're a Genius.. To use generative fill i downloaded PS beta and after i couldn't open PS. Open and after a few seconds close automatically. After I downloaded more than 10 different old PS versions but the same problem in every PS. After i used a second window PC for only PS... i think after 2 months i was finally able to open PS on my Mac.. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU So Much, Brother.. for me the second trick is working.. after deleting Adobe folder i can use PS .. Thank You.. 🙏❤

You’re most welcome. These kind words mean a lot. Well! It may come back due to the adobe connection with your local internet. If this message appears again then delete same folder to work smoothly. There’s another 3rd option to locate adobeGCC file in library folder and delete it. That is adobe genuine certificate extension. It detects with the help of your Internet connection. You can also check utility to kill that file using internet connection and prevent you from using adobe. Hope some fixes will help. This solution in the video might work for some and might not for others -- so that is what it is for now

Don’t restart or shutdown your computer. Just close it. It doesn’t drain your battery. If you shut down or restart, then of course the plug-ins will appear again.

Premiere pro didn’t get an issue but that error must be due to adobe GCC (genuine certificate) issues. If you have not paid for the software then adobe will regenerate this adobeGCC file over again. Keep checking this file in the library

I have an ancient legit copy of CS3. It's still in it's "you have 13 days left got activate your software". I have the serial number that it came with. Oh, the whole world is watching me 😜😜 Well, Photoshop 2023 started testing beta versions which is more network/internet oriented instead of an off-line software. You can try locating AdobeGCC (Adobe genuine certificate) file. Delete that GCC file because that is an extension connecting your software to the adobe media encoders and cloud. You can also go to the utility to kill any connection bridging your Adobe to the Internet. If that doesn’t help then revert back to 2022 version. If it still doesn’t help, then my Instagram is in the channel’s bio -- I will try

Try an older version if you use 2023. There is also a file related to colors but i forgot it’s name. It impacted my mack brightness too. I deleted that file coz the brightness was greyed out with no option to increase or degrease. That also causes potential harm to photoshop

That’s a prompt Adobe sends before shutting down. I don’t think you need to close this one because you will lose unsaved data.

@@StalinLovsMsmZioglowfagz Mine works but I have to use the Activity Monitor every time the AdobeCRDeamon pops up. It really suck but at least I can still use it for free.

@sanjucs44 press command+spacebar and type activity monitor. Go to search and type adobe. Quit all adobe apps and extensions in the background. Quit and turn off internet. Then launch Adobe photoshop. It will work

Hi, i have successfully download pr and ai. However, i have prob when download ps. My concern is : does remove adobe file (2nd step) will affect my pr and ai too? Causw this take quite long time for me, i do not want to get any step wrong...

Always keep backup. Save software in a separate and secure folder then come back and try other methods.

I am trying to use Photoshop 25.2 and this procedure did not work. Once I open Photoshop the Adobe folder inside Library/applicationsupport/ regenerate it again. Any suggestion? Thanks a lot in advance!

That will come back to the directory again. Try locating adobeGCC file and delete it. Also go to network and prevent adobe from using internet. Then go to utility and kill unnecessary adobe task there

@@ProAttique Thanks a lot for your answer! I tryed to restrict the internet access to Photoshop using the OS firewall and Lulu, then Photoshop crashed after some minutes of use. (There is not any adobeGCC file in my system) If I open Photoshop withuot Internet it works well. I am dealing with that, trying to figure out what else I need to block. Thanks again!

Well! these methods work differently for different versions. AdobeGCC (genuine certificate) basically prevents you from using this product. This file is available for all those Adobe versions so make sure it's not somewhere in the hidden directory. This one plugin or extension detects the genuine soft. I guess some users with version 2022-2023 already fixed it. I also need to refresh my knowledge about it. DM on insta for any further direct queries. Thanks @@gas3d
