Not always the same problem, sometimes it’s capacitor issues. Sometimes main board goes bad. If you still have a Hisense tv, I think not using 100 brightness in settings would extend the tv life
Same. I bought 2 on sale 2 years ago. One for my room and one for my living room. The one in my room randomly stopped working and it’s annoying looking at all of these videos . Never again 🤦🏾♀️
Tried everything for Samsung LN26B360C5DXZC...no luck...the standby light flickering when I press the remote or TV buttons but NO picture at all. Got a new Rogers Netbox today but still no luck...cheers from Canada....
It sounds like it’s struggling to turn on. I’d recommend searching your tv model number followed by power supply repair kit or even see if replacement main board and power supply board is worth replacing
Thank you very much. My 50" Hisense H50B7100 had the same exact problem, so I tossed the coin and took the chance. The most difficult part was removing the white back light reflector, I had to use an hairdryer to let it loose, but it was quite a mess... Anyway, the work needed a lot of patience and care, but now my TV is back on 😊 on the kitchen wall. Changed all four led stripes with pullovers from a damaged donor TV, that's all I could find here. It's been only 30€, repair shop asked 180€ which was not worth it against the 300€ I paid the TV. Thank you again.
No TV should have a lifetime of 3 years or less. My sharp lcd TV has 20 years no issue. Even if you repair it. The LEDs will last 3 years. Or capacitors will dry up. Basically bad design with 3rd level components.
Good video. So here's what I did: 1. Had LED blink issue, no display 2. Tried taping part of the right side ribbon. TV got on and sound worked fine but no display. Tried taping different parts on right side ribbon, same result = no display but TV works (sound on menu etc) 3. Then tried taping left side ribbon (left part of display main cable), no display again. Eventually when taping different pins, display finally worked. There's a dim horizontal dark grey lines which is not visible from 5 feet apart. So I think this is the only possible solution to get the TV to work somehow. In my country it's almost impossible to repair or have to pay a hefty price. TLDR: Try taping the ribbon cable pins on both side (left ribbon and right ribbon too) 4-5 pins at a time. Eventually display works. This is for all those guys who say they fixed the blinking issue, but no display. This could work. Worked for me.
I'm researching all of the possible issues with my Hisense 65H6570F, not seeing any puffed caps, discoloration around any parts or on the board. So I found this video and your comment.. so you literally took electrical tape and applied to the ribbon cables until it was operating normal?
@@FounderOf4Yes, but the catch is that you will see black faint lines horizontally. You could see those lines from a feet or 2 in front easily, but the screen will look normal from 5 feet away since the lines are more like transparent black lines. Apparently covering those pins will block horizontal display lines, so I guess the specific led which is causing the issue (current short probably), is ignored so the system runs fine without the error detection.
@@MohammedAneek thank you for the reply. My wife was not wanting to wait for a fix, so we bought another TV. I'm going to fix this one for my hobby room. Faint gray or black lines are mot a problem for me! Thanks again!!
@mpumimbuli705 Nope, I ask like 6 youtubers and none of them reply back to me so I just threw it away because I bought replacement parts and still had the solid red light
Thanks for this video. How did you know it wasn't a blown power board? Another video said if the power button started blinking, it was the power board. Mine blinks. Model: 43R6090G5 Thanks!
This is a bit much for me personally. My will flash on with the blinking red light and i see the tv name come up and then it turns rt off with a flash of a line and the red light blinks
Is this a joke?! I am not putting myself down when I say…This is waaaaay to much for a tone thats trying to express how “easy peezy” this is. This is high level repair sir. 🙄
This is definitely a high level repair however I couldn’t find any tutorials when starting out so I’ve finally decided to record the process. Following the steps is at your own risk and not easy peezy!

I have exact same tv it seems. My tv just flickerd and shut down all of a sudden as i was on the ps5 . Wont start back and does the same red light blink. I was hoping it was a board. Is there any soldering involved to replace the led strip?
My tv keeps turning on says Hisense Android and shuts off. Then will try to start up and power's off. Can't put the firmware on it because it doesn't stay on. I bought the circuit board kit and changed all the boards and it still does the same thing.
That’s strange with everything changed. When it’s turning on, take a video of the screen in a dark room. See if there are any dimmer dark patches on the screen. This could indicate the LED chips being burnt out
Very similar problem to the above only I have the 50B7100 (same as in the video) replaced the board since the only one completely popped. Replacement board is now behaving the same as your. Hisense logo, flashing standby light for a couple of second and then dead. Managed to convince Hisense to send me the firmware file, loaded on a flash drive. Had a bit of trouble getting it to enter the software update mode. Ps is hold the power button down on the remote. Good luck getting the firmware though. Spent quite some time on the line with Hisense to convince them to send me the file rather than sending out a technician.
Can someone tell me what that electronic tool is called that he uses to see if there is anything faulty in the tv? It measures the volts...also thanks for the video you helped me figure out a few things wrong with my tv 👍👍
I don’t know if you’re trying to help us or just want to show your expertise, this isn’t worth to do for a cheap TV like hisense, but I guess the word cheap means disposable. Nice work anyway. Mine is not even 2 years
It’s definitely not an easy repair but this is trying to help all of you watching the video as I couldn’t find anything on any channel that would actually fix the issue. Best to save it from ending up in landfill but it’s your choice.
I have the exact same model, hisense 43b7100uw. Had the same problem took it to a repair shop and it was fixed. However wifi now doesn't work, I was watching this video hoping that you'll mention anything about wifi module or something. I'm so confused cause it doesn't seem like they took the wifi module off since my motherboard looks exactly like yours yet my wifi isn't working anymore
Maybe the cables haven’t been reconnected between the WiFi module and main board. If you don’t fancy taking it apart to check the cables you could try and just use the Ethernet cable to a router
The Wi-Fi module is you do take the back panel off is to the right of the standby light and power bottom cable. The module is held in place with a screw to the body that would need to be removed before you cab remove and replace the module
If you made a serious mistake and bought hisense, all you can do is unplug , throw this to trash, and buy normal tv. Costly mistake but lesson for all life.
@roderickho4281 I had one and stopped working a few months after guarantee a week ago. Rubish , never again Hisense better wait and collect money for normal tv.
The flashing light tells you what is the problem. I fixed TVs but Sky Worth is a pain in the A**! I have a non-flashing ed light. I reset it and the remote with no luck/ success. Any suggestions? I love your accent. Australian?
Hi, my Tv wont turn on. When i try turning thr tv on, the red light flashes for five times then the light is solid. Any suggestions on what i can try to repair my tv?
I tested all the led backlights and I found one that doesn't work anymore, but if I saw that some led lights is is more weak than others, do you suggest to replace them all ? And do I have to replace all the stripe or just the light ? Thanks !
My issue is that the LED's are super dim. I pulled my TV apart and I see at least 3 on the bottom strip that don't light up. But all 3 strips are super dim
Hey so I got a big hisense tv that when I got it I have no information about it and I had no remote or power cable. If I had to guess its a 65 or 70 inch tv. I bought a power cables and remote for it off of amazon and now the red standby light is on and when I press the power button the splash screen will come on for a few seconds then the standby light will flash a few times and the tv will turn off. I'm wondering if anyone might be able to help diagnose the problem and suggest a solution.
@@roderickho4281 Thanks for the reply, when I attempt to turn the tv on in a dark room it looks like the right side of the screen is definitely darker than the left side. As if only 1/2 of backlights are being lit.
mine was working and then i heard a fizzle and now my tv is doing this exact thing with the red light, would that suggest it being the same issue? same model tv btw
Thanks. Watched your video, disassembled my h55b7100. It was last led busted (you have to get plastic lens off to test last led on strip because there is no pin on pcb for last one). Now I've ordered all replacement strips from ali for 10$. Thanks.
Same TV, same problem; I'm having a tough time believen it is a faulty LED, considering you did not show nor the faulr or the replacement itself. Hisense ppl say the 2 blink code indicates a board issue, but OC, thats the default answer from their side. However, since you didnt show the process as a whole, can't agree on its legitimacy.
Good video, with the problem that this TV had, would there still be sound if it was connected to an antenna etc? Or does a bad diode also prevent sound?
Is this only apply to this Hisense tv? I heard that other tv with backlight problem making no picture shown on the screen will have sound. Have you heard of this?@@roderickho4281
I have a Lg 42LV555H-UA, It just cut off on me one day. I just recently plugged it back in and the indicator light comes on flashing white, I tried putting a flashlight up to it to see if I could see any images but I could not. And also I hear no sounds, Any ideas ?
This is a great video with a lot of information in it, but i have a seemingly simpler process. I simply take the tv out back, dump a clip into it and buy a new one. Eezy Peezy😉
My Samsung 50" QLED TV is doing the same thing.. it won't turn on. The screen goes blue momentarily and then back to black and the standby light keeps flickering on and off. I'm guessing it could be the same issue. I have replaced the TV with a Hisense, but would like to try and repair the Samsung or at least sell it for parts. I'm guessing it would be a similar repair although obviously the parts will look different inside.
I was playing a game and mine just shut off and wont turn on i done all the things and it keeps flashing but wont turn on i unplugged it held the button and pushed the reset still wont work any ideas?
