Honestly speaking friends, never ever buy Canon printer in your life. My epson has printed 22356 pages till now, no problem has occured so far. And this Cannon g2000 is giving error after 6000 pages. Ink absorber is full. and this error you cannot troubleshoot yourself. You have to take it to service center, then dont provide home visit. that means after every 6000 pages I have to take it to service center? Kya public ko lootne ka plan banake rakha he company walo ne? Why cant they provide Reset software in the CD that comes with the printer? hum logo ko choro ki tarah idhar udhar service tool doondhna pad raha hai. this video shows a temporary fix. The PRO way - also no need for crappy $ software - just do it like so: - Enter the printer to Service Mode (turn off printer, hold STOP btn, press Power On btn. and keep it pressed , then press the STOP btn for 5 times; release the power btn => printer is in service mode now) - Load paper in the printer tray - Press the Stop Button 3x (three times) then press the Power Button to printing Printer Status - Check the printed status you can Find Status D=100.0, that's mean the waste ink pad absorber counter is 100% used (full) - Let's reset it to 0%: press Stop Button 5x (five times) then press the Power Button - The printer will print the printer Status with D=000.0, that means the waste ink pad absorber counter is 0% used - Done. Restart your printer, you can use it again like it's new :) Cheers lads!
can you help me, I can get into service mode but everytime I hit the stop button 3 (or 5 like some videos show) and then hit power it acts like its going to print but then shuts off!!!
omg this is very helpful. tried it several times, at first it wasnt working. maybe because of the timing? i dont know. after 5 times, it worked. my g2000 is working again.
"Resume/cancel" button must be pressed EXACTLY 5 times. Printer may be started in different mode that is indistinguishable from the service mode when another combination is used, but service functions will not work! If at the end error LED is still ON (not blinking) and POWER LED is off then service mode was blocked. The only known solution in this case is to replace eeprom chip.
Can you tell me if this is the correct method. Step 1: Switch off the printer Step 2: Keep STOP button pressed for about 4 seconds, and then press POWER button, unpress STOP button and then press STOP button for 6 times. Step 3: 11 times green blink of POWER button and then press POWER button 1 more time. if this doesnt solve then repeat.. Can you please correct, if the process need correction
once again, it works but i have to push stop button 5 times and then power once, after that i pushed stop button 7 times and then power once and start refilling ink. it works. canon g2100.

press 4 times stop button the power of 1 time. then 3 times stop button and again power 1 time. then 5 time stop button and power button. next 3 more times stop button than 1 time power . next 1 time stop and power button. now power off again and start the printer prob solve.
for recover mode - hold stop press power button than release stop and press 5 time stop button. then press 4 times stop and then power again 3 times stop and then 5 times and then 3 times and at last 1 time. Your printer is fixed........
