So im going threw this very thing, google wrote back to me saying " your gift card isn't " valid ", i submitted the front and back of the gift card, also i submitted the receipt of proof of purchase, but they still say the card isn't valid. I went back to Walmart where i originally brought the card, and they said it's on Google not them. And as stated on the card, card activities after cashier scans it when it's purchased. So now what ? I wrote them back saying, i feel almost forced to convert to apple, even tho i highly do not want to. It just sucks because ive never had a issue prior to this. I can no longer buy these cards to enjoy the game's that i enjoy playing.

It is just a process to make sure the gift card is being redeemed by the owner of the gift card and to avoid a fraudulent activities.

I don't know about other stores but where I work the card automatically activated when purchased , this happened to a customer and it made me sad because we literally can't do anything about gift cards after they're purchased

This is the first time this is happening to me, too. I buy my cards and sit on them for a little bit. So, obviously, no receipt. I don't know which card would go with what receipt even if I had them. I decided to check a 2'nd card and it gave me the same error. As said at the first, this has *never* happened to me before. :/ ... I didn't know Google Play cards were unreliable like this. I have 3 other cards and if they don't work, than that is 100% on freaking Google. :/

@@nope8446 I contacted a law firm that said they were setting up a class action lawsuit over this and they contacted me today saying they have dropped the matter even tho its s slam dunk of a case and I have a feeling google had somthing to do with them dropping it because they refused to tell me why they dropped it

@@Richard-qr6mh google can fix it but for me being Samsung forced me to sign up with them and was pushing me for my credit card to be added I ended up formatting tablet and used my account from my phone that is also a Samsung and there is no Samsung account on that phone and being I changed to my account google wont help me , so I lost my money, Samsung and google do not like new accounts and a gift card being added from the get go

Guys, i had the same problem for days but after giving more info about myself on my account and re-sending a help request, it worked. Now i don't really know if my gift card wasn't working because i was trying to give as little info as possible about me to Google but if you do the same, then it may be the cause. Hope it helped somebody.

Wow! If those fail What is your next step make sure the power's on?? Why did you even bother making a video? First advice was to do the first thing everybody does and fill out the form they tell you, Second advice is oh maybe your internet's off?? And third is check for updates?? I've spent one month Contacting support after doing all of those steps you recommend .Each time the conversation was the same where they asked me If I filled out the form. Send them all the pictures Then they said they were going to contact the specialist team and I should see results in three to five business days. Today was my third time having the exact same conversation. Another hour of my life wasted I was over it. I found this video hoping to find some answers. And it turns out it was just bot number 4

That won't do anything. From my knowledge the gift card is activated however its as if they're asking you for further information that you're not a bot account or something? I'm guessing they're doing this to prevent something. If this has happened to anyone it's not your fault but just be sure to keep your receipts. It happened to me today and Google play will probably reply in a day or two hopefully.

In case anyone is interested in whats going on, I managed to get in contact with Google, and the proof I gave them was enough for them to give me my gift card money. The only issue was that I forgot to change my email into the email i used to attempt to redeem the Google Play card to fill out the form, so I had to do it again on my other account. Please remember to keep your receipts as proof. I hope I was able to help.
