I had 16gb's of ram and it was using 10-11 gb's of it. I watched and followed the steps now its 3-5 thanks a lot men. The usage went from %65 to %30 I used to watch a lot these kinds of videos that says "make your pc faster" and none of them actually worked. But this really worked.
Thank you for the tips! It really helped me! Although, it seems the non paged pool memory slowly increases, taking more and more ram, what do you think I should do about it (I would say that I should use the techniques you introduced in this video overtime)
It looks that for me it worked well! After I made these tweeks My memory usage droped from 85-90% to 65-70 at the same circumstamces (RAM 16 GB, Chrome with 15-20 opened tabs, Fusion 360 with moderate project opened).
Thank you! When I was upgrading to Windows 11, I found that it was using more memory compared to windows 10. So, I followed this tutorial and went from 53-75% to 32-51% after applying and restarting. ^^
thank you so much for this. i was having the problems you describe. i have only 8gb ram and it's soldiered on. you have made me a thousand dollars richer (the cost of a new laptop) much much appreciated.
Thanks a lot, I had disabled start up apps already and disk clean up but changing the regedit value and Sysmain really helped, I have 12GB of ram and it was using 10GB of it doing not much at all, almost double what windows 10 was using!
THANK YOU!!! I went from 8gb to 3.2 gb out of 32gb and when i did the command prompt I found out my pc had corrupt files but it was automatically fixed
Thanks for your help. My machine was working fine even though it's a little light on RAM (8GB) under Windows 10. When I upgraded to Windows 11 my memory was running low quite often.
I tried it myself omg thank you so much for these tips the reg editor worked like a charm our family laptop is pretty new and barely had any applications on it but windows 11 was hogging over 80% of the ram now it only uses 50% which is so much better. I just was wondering if you know what changing the "start" value from 2 to 4 actually does?
I really needed this. My PC only has 8 GB of RAM, so when I saw it was going up to 6.7, I knew I needed to fix it quick. I thought I had a virus, but your tutorial made me go down to an even lower amount: 3.3-3.7 GB of RAM usage. I appreciate this man, thank you for the helpful video! This will be useful for me in the long run. ^^
well this depends on how much ram you have, if you have 8gb and its using 20%, thats completely normal as its around 2gb and thats how much a computer should use when idle
god I love how you sit through the processes and do it right, thanks I don't know if any of this helped me but thanks. I'm running a game called new world.. and I feel like I'm not using as much vram as I should, or graphics ram.. I looked into some settings and it seemed low. I don't know how to increase the useage. Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app. Head to System > About. Select Advanced system settings. Under Performance, select Settings. Open the Advanced tab. Under Virtual memory, select Change. Here are your Virtual Memory options. I did this, and.. my reccomended was much higher than what is used... how to change? O_o.. Well I don't know the min/max values (32gb ram / 3080 RTX / i9-somethingk )
A suggestion. You’re obviously a pro with windows. For unknowledgeable people like it’s hard to keep up with what you’re doing. I start to follow your video and there seems to be steps missing. I can’t keep up with what you’re doing . Thanks for for your effort. I’m sure it works for a lot of people.
What? I honestly don't understand what's missing or not able to follow along with, this was the simplest and easiest video I've come across. I know legit nothing about this stuff and my computer is running better.
actually i performed everything in the video. There is no step missing and if you do everything in the video and get an error, maybe your windows is corrupt or more damaged
Thanks a bunch man, I recently bought a new Acer Nitro 17 for gaming. It ran games extremely well but it always irked me that it would have almost 90% ram usage while idle. Your first fix reduced my usage to 46% which is ridiculous 😅. Thanks a bunch man, definitely liking for later.
Thank you bro you saved me from having a mental breakdown. I have the ROG Strix RTX4060 Laptop and its keep crashing after 2 month. Turned out that my RAM usage is abnormally high.
Thank you very much! I made the changes in the registry editor (first recommendation in video) and it reduced the excessive memory usage by Desktop Windows Manager by 90%!!! Very kind and helpful of you!!!
Thank you! I don't know why, but my RAM has been filling up and I still do not know why. I found this video while searching for a solution and it seems to have fixed my issue. I'm only on the second day in, but so far so good. Just for a bit of background, I have a very high end system with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and just normal PC use having two browsers open and a few other regular programs would fill up my RAM completely within a day. Then my PC would lag and stutter as it tried to figure out what to do with the RAM.
i mean its fine mines is still 50 ram usage when i use a browser with 1 tab open but if i play any games like roblox or csgo it goes up to 80 or 100 possibly
My laptop optimizes usage when a game is opened and frees up a couple GB of ram. Maybe yours does the same? Mine has "Omen Gaming Hub" preinstalled which is what causes that for me
I have 32 gigabytes of RAM, I get windows 11, it idly uses 26 GB of RAM, for a "improved version" of windows, it's pretty dogshit at being light-weight and efficient with managing memory
Everytime I start windows 11 I get around 60-70% of memory usage because I only have 4gb ram. But with this it only uses 50-60% thanksss. Also I suggest also using mem reduct to make it even less ram usage
I solved my problem on msi board with Ryzen 3400G processor on win 11 it show that i only have 13.9gb ram but instalated 16gb. The problem was fixed by disabling gpu on the processor off course if you have pci gpu.
@@sinnlostv1119 I disable a gpu in bios on a cpu and that's it. Somehow when i installed win 11 it turnd on and because of that ram has been taken by gpu on a cpu.
When I did it and restarted my laptop, everything is much slower. Why? Like for example I go onto discord and I see my friend previous pics he's sent but it's loading very slowly
I have an RAM 8gb running 78-89% on idle and opening a single app takes it up to 97%. Im loosing my mind as to what exactly is wrong with it and this video hasnt exactly helped me im still 81% on idle though.. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the video either way ❤️
I couldn't do the command prompt for sfc / scannow. It told me I needed to be an administrator running a console session. I hav eno idea what that means, and I am an admin on my own computer lol. Help?
Sir i feel i am having slow download speed after following your steps... The games which took 1 hr to download are now taking 3-4hrs... Is there any fix??
