Thank you so much, I recently bought HP Victus and the procedure was same in my laptop, one thing I'd like to mention is before you try to install Linux make sure to disable the Bitlocker in your windows as it will lock you out if you mess with the BIOS Settings if you wanna use Linux in dual boot, I had myself locked out and had to reinstall windows. Anyways keep up the good work.
Yes, newer HP Victus and pavilion series is having such issues. Also do one thing, HP recently released New BIOS update the supports ton of Linux Distros out of the box. Please update the BIOS to new version.
It’s 2024 now. This tip still holds up. Was suffering from “failed to start journal service”. Now i can boot up no problem. Much thanks~ Update: am using dell vostro 5468 anyone curious
Unfortunately, it didn't help for me. After 3 weeks of trying everything, 10 different distros, after testing everything out, ram, cpu, secureboot, fastboot, gpu's, bootsettings, nomodeset...etc. Nothing has worked. I give up, and just stick with my Windows 11 that does work.
Please brother ,make video for kali linux I installed nvidia but when run any tools its freezing system !!?any solution I have hp victus ryzen 7 5800h rtx 3050 ti

I have installed hyprland arch linux as my primary os but now when i am trying to install Windows using bootable pendrive the installation screen isn't showing up & even the buos setup shortcut key isn't opening bios. I installed prashant rangan hyprland script. Please help.
I haven't faced boot issues when I tried Linux for the first time, but one issue I did face back then on my older PC was my 802.11n Wi-Fi adapter wasn't working after reboot. And I didn't have Ethernet, so I switched back to Windows again. Later I found out that the 802.11n adapters are a bit wonky on Linux.
Did you try BOOT REPAIR from the linux menu ? It assesses what needs to be repaired. During install, what may help is add small partition "RESERVED BIOS AREA". My assumption is linux efi partition won't work always, if not installed from Virtual Machine. Boot repair linux app, may though be used to repair and switch to the linux efi partition if selected. What works on one type of system may not on another, depending if windows was upgraded from 7 or 10 factory installed, as older systems had still to be oriented around Legacy style booting, so the placings of MBR and efi to read partition tables had to account for the abilities to bypass or avoid UEFI.
In my situation with Beelink SER5 AMD Ryzen this option is called UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities. Inside were two options: #1 Windows Boot Manager and #2 Ubuntu. Thank you so much for your great help!
I have an intel tablet with win10 by default. Live linux mint boots fine, can install, but after install it can't boot into the OS. Only can boot into the live linux on pendrive. I tried turning on and off secure boot and trying to set PK or DB but wither of them failed.
I'm using a Lenovo Yoga 2 pro and have trying to install Garuda Dragon and desktop. I keep getting a message saying the bootloader failed during installation i386 pc returned error code 1. Could you assist me?
Although it didn't work for me I found this interesting. I don't think I can turn the Secure boot off. I did but it still says there's a choice between easy, normal and advanced modes. Maybe it is off. Every distro I've tried with Etcher, Rufus or Universally Linux USB installer has run through the entire boot process until the very end and then the PC has rebooted. If it wasn't for videos like yours where I see it load I might not think it was possible to load Linux at all.
They are few Linux kernel arguments you can try to fix boot issues. See this article: www.pugetsystems.com/labs/hpc/how-to-use-linux-kernel-boot-options/
hey bro. i am facing black screen issu after installing nvidia driver in kali linux. i am 100% sure its because of the driver. i just normally install by sudo apt install nvidia-driver -y restart and that causes the problem. setting nomodeset everytime. i dont thats a convenient way. can you help

Hey I use same laptop but i use GTx 1650 ti . i installed kali linux and the mouse pointer is not working any solution. i tryed every single video in yt
I want to remove permanently window os, and want to install Ubuntu linux how can i do ? i try to install but it will install in dual mode ,I select the delete option even it is not working
How do you fix a win10 HDD (in an old computer with no UEFI option) disappeared after installing ubuntu using installer from Microsoft store ? That BIOS had no UEFI option, just EFI one. And now this HDD can not be detected in another mobo with its BIOS has UEFI option, the HDD has no sound at all. I had its diodes checked out using multimeter but looked ok. I haven't opened the needle casing.
typing E didnt work for me. The safe graphics mode does thought, however after install it doenst. My laptop is an Asus n73s with an ssd (sata) that replaced the former ide disk. Anyone have a tip? i want linux becuase win 10 does not use my gpu anymore and only uses intel IG
Can I get your LinkedIn? I'm still facing this issue on ubuntu. It is showing rtx 3050 along with RENOIR graphics on settings. Screen is not bright as it should be. Brightness bar is inverted. Increasing brightness causes less brightness. Can you please suggest to do next? I'm using victus 15 with ryzen 7 5800h and rtx 3050
I am not on LinkedIn and sorry for that. Anyway Do one thing. If you running windows on your computer please update to the latest BIOS. Once you are done ... try installing Linux and let me know. I will be answering all your questions here. Dont worry.
In my case i have Desktop with cpu r5 3600, gpu 1050ti, ram 16gb. I want to install linux os in my secondary ssd in dual boot mode. I disabled secure boot, turned off or on tpm security option. I could not install any of the linux. Initially i installed garuda linux than i booted into os it stucked on desktop, mouse pointer was jittery and slow. After some time pc restarted automatically. After that i could not boot into os. It crashed on os initialising loop and restarted agwin and again. I tried to install Garuda again also tried different os but this time i couldn't even install fresh os.
@@kskroyaltech i have desktop and i think msi is affiliated by Microsoft to block installation of other os. Every mobo company is in the same rabbit hole. But fortunately the mobo i purchased include nuvoton sensor chip (mobo - msi x570 a pro). Which means it is compatible with every os, i mean os can take control of pc case fans.
NO bro, Victus and Pavilion Series are almost similar. Make sure to update BIOS firmware to the latest version before installing Linux. Then almost every linux distro will work. Dont worry fedora is very easy to setup. Watch my dual boot video
Thank you for the video! However, I'm still stuck. I'm getting the following error: stdin invalid argument (happens a couple of times) Then finally: unable to find a medium containing live file system.
Hey so i wanted to install linux but when i tried to access boot options so i can load up linux it was grayed out i tried to disable secure boot it didnt do anything any ideas on how to fix?
Facing random driver issues in windows.. Like the mute button and mic disable button not working in windows, after Bios reset it starts working, it started again
I have the same laptop and there are two problems it does not detect external monitor in Ubuntu and the laptop never shut off when we do power off in Ubuntu any solutions
1) Did u check displays settings ? I mean does it show external monitor over there !! 2) Laptop never shut off is because of ACPI issues. You need to google for that. There is no generic solution for that. I dont why ubuntu has such issues.
Thank you so much brother!. I actually had a plan to install Linux mint on my main laptop, thanks for telling about it! I am planning to install Linux mint xfce first then I'll install the GNOME on Linux mint then, would that be okey, Because i want a debian based GNOME disto and i feel like GNOME distribution available out of the box are either too much customised by default (zorn os for eg) or they like run everything through snap and makes the experience slow (Ubuntu). Would installing gnome work fine?
@@kskroyaltech i have tryed zorin os before, but it looks more feel more like windows, i mean they heavenly customized the gnome to look like like i want the clean gnome experience, or are you telling to install zorin os xfce first then install GNOME on top of it brother?
Any Dell, HP, ASUS, or jus lower to higher level laptops I have no problem, but Alienware 🤦🤦🤦I can never get it to even dl the network databases upon installing it without it showing as missing, then at the VERRRYYYYY end I get the rejection stating that it was "missing packages" 🤦🤦with the SAME EXACT Iso, run it on a Dell HP ASUS Acer Toshiba etc...
Does deleting the secure boot keys cause problem with windows ? I have recently bought a new laptop, so will it hamper the functionality like booting, or updates, or licenses or something like that ?
Make sure to update your LAPTOP BIOS To the latest available release. Then watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oDV547KX_Tk.html
Whatever I do... It always leads to a black /purple screen and nothing happen! Ispent about 7 hours just trying to boot ubuntu from usb just to have a try! I'm desperate.... Thanks for your video though, at least i moved a little bit forward with the nomodeset thingy! Too complicated for me... Sadly back to windows :(
Sir I have Ryzen 5 3550H Nvidia 1650 of the same laptop - i am having speaker not being detected issue in EVERY DISTRO - i tried and tried and tried - Can you please help me - Model is ec00001ax

@@kskroyaltechOK Thank You For Replying But When I Install Endeavor Os It is running perfectly but when I install different Linux OS then this problem start again? Why
I need a help on setting MacOS on my Hp Pavilion gaming laptop I have referred to the OpenCore developers' site and its a quite complex process. Please make a video on it and the best way of setting it up and as per my laptops specs and it would be very much helpful. Hp Pavilion gaming laptop: AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with 1TB HDD and I haven't got my SSD yet and 8 gigs of RAM.
Bro ! U did awasome, but nomodset cause screen resolution issue like I have victus 15 but when I run my debian linux it runs on 800 x 600 resolution. Microsoft literally try to killing linux ! It's disgusting 🤢.
Yeah Because we need the OS without loading GPU drivers. First install Debian Or any linux distro then install DEDICATED GRAPHIC DRIVERS. On Debian Linux to install NVIDIA Graphic drivers, first add these two repositories. sudo add-apt-repository contrib sudo add-apt-repository non-free then Type Sudo nvidia-detect to install NVIDIA driver try sudo apt install nvidia-driver.
Oh crap, my bios is locked. I have no idea how to fix it. I installed Linux via dual boot then later when booting, Windows doesn't let me boot into anything. This video helped me understand the issue but does anyone here know a way to reset bios password on a HP laptop?

Ngl I'm stuck on the csm whateverthefuck... I have no idea what to do other than insert a USB stick or insert a literal disk(via a usb-adapter & external dvd player) with an installment of whatever OS... Either that or I somehow can "escape" from the csm and back to windows 10 via some obscure keybind, cause typing doesn't work for anything other than confirming an install of an operating system... I'm lucky I can turn off my PC still atleast, and of course, well, it goes without saying that I did it on an old laptop of mine I'd already wiped all the data off of... granted I did install python + a virtualization thing called virtual box on it recently as an experiment so... I would've liked to have kept using it for simple experiments like that rather than this one... P.S. I fucking hate search engines. Can't find the shit I want, unless I do a bajillion searches! Fuck you still google! And fuck all the unhelpful pretentious pricks/people who don't know anything! Adds to my ever-solidifying sense of loneliness on the world wide web that was supposed to link people in the know together into their own subcommunities... problem is that, well, it did that for a while, but then stopped, so now we only have the mirage of connectivity... with maybe a few ACTUALLY SUBSTANTIAL connections still taking place, mixed with, for the most part, people who don't trust eachother cause we're used to being linked with people who just don't fucking get it.
Virtual machines will never run as well as direct hardware access! Dont get me wrong, I love virtual machines and containers but I dont want windows anywhere near my personal computer 😅
No, the keybinds are inverted and changing them in custom shortcuts doesn't work, pressing fn+f3(inc brightness) decreases the brightness and fn+f2(dec brightness) increases the brightness, my system is to from HP, I checked online forums to see if this is a GPU problem but it's a mix of problems which seem to happen in HP or Dell systems with NVIDIA cards 1650/3050. Gave up on finding a solution and fixing it, living with it now xD not that big of a issue tbh it's just changed keybinds brightness is normal@@kskroyaltech
