Merci beaucoup ! Je l'ai installer en 15 minutes et vraiment le changement est drastique et le montage démontage est d'une simplicité !

I just ordered my R5 bundle with the brake mod and clutch pedal. I'm glad they include those pads. That was one of the biggest complaints by reviewers of the wheel is the very clicky shifters.

Thanks for this. I applied the pads to my Moza GS wheel a couple of months ago, but yesterday, during a race I suddenly noticed that the downshifter became very sticky in operation. After the race I had a look and realised that the rubber pad applied over the holes on the shiter lever had gradually migrated upwards, leaving the sticky medium behind on the shifter lever. The pad eventually detached and I was left with just the glue on the lever, causing the lever to stick to the wheel. This has happened on both up and down shift levers. I've replaced one pad with a spare that came with the wheel, and the other with a piece of black duct tape which seems to do the damping job adequately. Something for people to monitor though for others who have applied the pads.

Thanks for this. Wasn't sure how hard I had to push to get the silver bolt to push out and this made it easy to follow. Cheers!

I applied a different thicker pad to my Moza GS v2p bagel. It reduced the sound. However, after the application, the gear pedals were not active. It is necessary to calibrate the bagel settings.

Just received my R9 and GS wheel today, quality is amazing but christ that shifter noise is obnoxiously loud without the pads.

Applied them on my FSR Wheel and suddenly my downshifter isn't working anymore, only if I remove the pads...

thanks for this video 👍 - instructions Moza instructions were a little flakey - didnt want to push the pin too hard. Video helped. As they are still not 'quiet' - would love almost silent to be honest! - if I add another pad - double up - will that stop the magnetic contact ?
@SimRacingSetups
@SimRacingSetups Год назад
Yea I wouldn't recommend that as it will almost certainly stop the shifts being recognised I'm afraid.

@@SimRacingSetups already thought this was the case! Brand new...popped them on no response...calibrated and all good. Going to see where else I can add to. Still really to loud for me. Kind of annoying going from noisy grindy belt wheel to silence..with the loudest shifters in the world 😁

Thanks for the Video, but it doesn't work on my GS V2 Wheel this way, the shifters don't respond if I put the Second Pads this way like you did in the Video. Hafe to place those just above the magnet otherway the sensors dont respond.
@L33TCHI
@L33TCHI Год назад
it works on my v2 - where he sticks at 2:34, do that further right before the metal ring and then I had contact again.
@D3D3
@D3D3 Год назад
@@L33TCHI hi and thanks for reply, yes I know what you mean but that's the point, the effect is less when doing so but nothing else I could do, my left shifter I setup often bc it sometimes fails. I assume the photo sensors dont respond bc of the thickness of the pads. Will experiment more with this but its not ideal from MOZA ;-)

I received my used steering wheel but the anti-noise pads are not there. What material are these pads made of? Would a simple sticky tape suffice?
@psilver03
@psilver03 Год назад
That bolt was really tight but pushing it with a similar hex tool (and some confidence) made it slide out. Easy peasy. I didn't poke myself. lol I like it better with the short throw. I think that makes me shift faster... like nano seconds faster! (and no clunk)
@Sargent-Mike

When I installed the anti noise pads, my shifter was not recognized anymore. I removed the pads and it worked again… not sure what is happening…. Any ideas? Thanks for the video!
@SimRacingSetups
@SimRacingSetups Год назад
They add a little less movement to the paddles and can sometimes block the paddle engaging correctly. You can try moving the silence pads further down the shifter arm to ensure there is enough travel.

This happened to me as well. The pad that goes on top of the magnet isn’t an issue. Make sure the other pad is covering the part that extrudes the most. I.e put the pad directly on the bump. In the moza video explaining how to apply it, the positioning is wrong.
@BPKarlToffel
@BPKarlToffel Год назад
I have the same problem. I installed the rubber pads like in this video but then the shifts are not recognized properly anymore. It either does not recognize the button being pressed or being released (so it keeps being pressed all the time). I could only fix this by removing the rubber pads again. I am really sad about this cause I liked the silenced shifts. I assume the sensors for the buttons would have to be recalibrated or something but I guess it's not possible in the current software.

As silencing pads are not a thing in the market I assume I can use any type of padding and stick duct tape to keep it there.
@SimRacingSetups

They do come included with MOZA wheels. But, yea, other than that a small piece of foam, 3M tape of something similar.

Do the pads come with the r5 bundle? Because the shifters on the es wheel wheel aren’t magnetic are they?

I am not able to remove the bolt. After removing the screws on both sides I have used a lot of force to push it out but nothing happens. How are you easily moving it out?? I have the GS wheel
@TBolt1
@TBolt1 Год назад
I was having the same issue on a GS wheel. It helps to stand the wheel up on a good desk / table while you use some muscle to push straight down on the bolt. The bolt will slide out.

@@TBolt1 I was able to do it. but had to use an allen screw same radius as the bolt and push with all my power and body weight to get it out. I couldn't find any easy way

Is placement important? After putting the rubber pads, the paddles were no longer detected.
@SimRacingSetups
@SimRacingSetups Год назад
Yea, they can block the paddles being recognised in some cases. I typically install the pads closer to the bend, this means less of the pad is being used, and gives the best of both worlds. Slightly quieter and all shifts still recognised.

Guys, I found a fix for it. In Moza Pit House driver go to the Tab with "System Settings" and go to the next Tab "Recovery and Reset". There you can re-calibrate your paddle shifters and make em work with noise pads on.

The engagement is just a touch “softer” rather than the solid clunk you can feel normally but in the heat of the moment while racing, I never noticed it, only after installing on one side to check it
