My mic wasn't freaking working while the teacher was asking questions and she gave me an absent because I didn't answer, she didn't believe me when I said my mic wasn't working, I hate these online classes T^T
I cannot thank you enough. This was such a useful and easy to follow video--it solved my problem, which was the privacy setting for Windows 10. I never would have found it without this video.
There is also the 'advanced' tab in the audio settings sub menu, under which 'persistant background noise' and 'intermittent background noise' levels can be set to moderate or even disabled for both Mac and windows laptops/ desktops. Those are really helpful too!
Windows 10: Microphone is working when I test it in the audio settings. The mic does not work on the voice recorder or in ZOOM. Cortana shows a typed version of the dictation, but I get an error message that Cortana cannot hear me.
Thank you for the clear, concise video. Mic wouldn't work in Zoom. Checked "Settings" and "Allow apps to access your microphone" was turned off. Corrected, works perfect. Thanks again!
@@GaugingGadgets hello could u help me fix my problem? My volume bar under the zoom setting microphone cannot be changed I tried bringing it from 1 to 100 but it comes back to 1 again
when I press 'join audio' in a meeting it says failed to detect microphone and I can hear but I cannot say anything to anyone in a meeting. How can I fix this?
there are multiple reasons for this issue. First of all, you might not have a microphone in your device....this could happen mainly because you might be using a PC. So to fix this, either use headphones or earphones..or you can buy a microphone and then set it up in your device..so first, set up a microphone or use earphones and then do as shown in this video... HOPE THIS HELPED!
Just got OFF a zoom call where I was unable to be heard. Came upon you video regarding audio issues. Question. How can I fix some of the features you recommend AFTER Leaving the meeting?
Thanks for the video. Lots of helpful stuff. I'm trying to help a friend who's having a problem I haven't been able to find any answer for. Her mic is on--but it squelches when she talks. You can hear her start to talk but then it squelches her voice. (It's not like it "mutes" her, you can hear her begin to talk and then it drops her voice--almost like a "canceling" effect. Any ideas on that problem? I haven't found any solutions for this particular issue anywhere. Thanks!
I followed your troubleshooting video If I start a meeting the microphone will not work using test on meeting screen or test on settings screen. If I'm not in ta meeting and go directly to the settings screen microphone works fine.
None of these worked for me. Can you go into more detail about the phone audio, it seems to be my only option but I tried and it was a disaster. Thank you
Great Video Thank you. All my settings are correct on Zoom AND on my computer. I join with Computer Audio but about 1/2 hour or so into my Zoom meeting (well not really a meeting...mahjongg with friends) they tell me they can barely hear me. After 15 min or so my sound come back. I don't change anything while I'm on Zoom but apparently my voice comes and goes. Very frustrating. Thanks for your help.
Please help: I am using a professional mic that I have connected to my Canon 60D which I am using on Zoom for better audio and video quality. The audio is out of sync. How do i fix this?? Thank you!
when I test my mic or check the mic thingy everything works perfectly. But when I have classes, no one can hear me. Is this because there are many people in it?
I followed your recommendations and my Yeti microphone still will not work on Zoom. I have a PC with Windows 11, any recommendations for a fix with 11?
Hi, i got a interface with input a condenser mic, but the problem become when i select the interface in the settin zoom and no detect my mic, would you know what can be the problem? interface got 2 input, and zoom dont let me select 1 of this 2 input
When I share a video with my zoom guests (generally from RU-vid) when I "come back" to speak I have no audio. I have changed nothing except share screen / end share screen. I have to reset my audio each time. This doesn't always happen, but happens enough. What's going on?
I followed all the steps and my Zoom mic volume is turned all the way up. But when I speak the mic barely picks it up, even when I put my face right up to my laptop. I only have one Realtek mic option. The mic works fine in Microsoft Teams and other apps, so this has to be a Zoom problem, right? What else can I do?
sir my problem is my earphone is clearly woring but it is in going in speaker only i have zoom only problem please help but in laptop i am waching you tube it working please help!
Please tell where to find the microphone settings in Windows 7 (not Windows 10), and what to click on and change to make the microphone work with Zoom.
I have the correct mic selected and I am getting input from it, but it is extremely quiet. I have gone into every setting I could find and they were all at 100. I even tried that mic boost where it adds 10, 20, or 30 dB and that hasn't worked. My set up is the BM 800 mic. It is 3.5mm to XLR. What is weird is that when I unplug the mic and talk everyone can hear me but when I plug it back in I am very soft. Help?? My classes are going to be using zoom and I want to sound crystal clear. It works fine on Discord but nothing else.
First Last, I believe the problem is that there has to have a preamp the supplies phantom power to the mic. Normally you need one because the 3.5mm jack can't give the mic the power it needs, which is why bumping the dB up by 30 didn't do anything. I believe discord makes it work by taking that signal and amplifying the crap out of it. I ordered one off of Amazon, it was $18. It's a Neewer phantom power supply. It uses a USB from the computer that powers the device, and a XLR cable from the mic to the device and my current cable that goes from the device to my laptop. I'll let you know if it works or not.
Hi, I am usually the host of a Zoom meeting and I get the following error "Your microphone is not working. Please check your connection or use a different mic". It comes along with a red circle ! mark at the top of the audio icon. At the beginning of the meeting, the audio is working perfectly fine but once more attendees start joining and well into the meeting from 5-20 minutes in I start getting the mentioned error. On occasions, the video or Zoom freezes completely and won't allow me to continue with the meeting. Please help and advise if you have any recommendations to fix this issue?
When I speak it doesn't show the green outline around my face-cam and it shows my mic logo next to my name empty (not moving). but everyone can hear me, why is that?
I have done all that, but my issue persists. At first I thought that my internal mic broke, or that I need to reinstall the drivers, but the sound is perfect on Skype. Only Zoom and What's app has a problem when my voice appears and disappears in a wave pattern. Does anyone know the solution to this problem? It wasn't always like that.
My mic works with other programs, in windows settings, it shows that zoom is using the mic, I still have no sound on zoom even with the volume all the way up. My mic works perfectly on discord, skype google meetings...etc
I'm having an issue when using a Zoom H6 recorder as an audio interface where at random points in a chat my voice changed in pitch. Much lower. Then i have to change the mic input to something else (like the computer mic) then back to my main mic. Any ideas why this is happening?
What if after joining a meeting where one can see and be seen the issue with the microphone is in a pop up that says the Safari browser does not support the audio
Hi, why is it that when I share a video, my audio stops working (I cannot hear the video that I'm playing for others)? I noticed when I unplug my Blue Mic, the audio starts working again. I'd like to be able to keep my microphone in and still be able to hear the video I am sharing. Thanks for your help!!!
This was very educational, but it did not help me with my problem. I had used my bluetooth headset while in a zoom meeting, and once I disconnected it, my microphone is no longer working. It is not set to use the bluetooth, the settings are as they should be for zoom and windows privacy, the microphone simply is not working.
my microphone works but it wont pick up my voice but it is instead picking up my zoom audio and using that as audio from my mic can someone please help
Can anyone PLEASE help me..i get into the meeting and my mic works just fine like everyone else can hear me but i cant hear anything not even the test..WHAT DO I DO??? Using a dell laptop btw
i plugged my earphone and when i tested it i can't use the mic that are on my microphone, instead it uses the mic on my laptop and the sound is awful. i've been switching the mic same as device, or real tek or my device still i can't speak through my mic on the microphone. can someone help?
I'm having the same issue and can't figure out how to resolve it. I need to share music via spotify and when I choose the YAMAY headset as the mic, I can no longer hear the music on my headset even though you can hear the music in th zoom recording.
I have exactly the same thing. I even tried different headphones. My colleagues use just simple headphones from their smartphones and the sound picks up from the microphone of the headset.
It’s still not working with or without headphones on my computer. I checked all my settings and I can’t hear anything. Only the test I can but nothing else.
