Hi Sam, I'm just dropping a message to thank you. I got my Google Merchant account suspended for misrepresentation. I stumble upon your video, took notes, made an action plant to fix things. With so many people saying that they didn't get back their accounts I sort of gave up on the idea of getting it back, but I used the template to improve consumer experience. Without requesting a review or anything, I woke up one day and my account was reinstated and the products that I left in the feed (after a thorough clean up of the store) were approved for free listings and shopping ads. what if you dont have a physical business addess and dont want to put your home address?? This is crazy that some of this stuff is required for an online store

Hey guys, yes you can run your campaigns worldwide - you don't need a Merchant Center account for each individual country. I do caution against using a Virtual/PO box in the vid - I recommend getting a physical address if possible because Google does frown upon PO Boxes.

Great video, I would like to add some pointers. 1) Virtual addresses and PO Boxes are generally not allowed. 2) Creating a new merchant center account is considered circumventing policy violation. 3) Creating a new domain is also considered circumventing policy violations. Both point 2 and 3 and serious violations and if caught will be a permanent ban. It is best to always fix the initial account.
Good points ! For 1) that's why I recommend a physical address above all else. 2) Agreed, that's why it's a last resort. 3) Yes, agreed, that's why it's also a last resort. With the example I mentioned in the video, that guy actually had received an email from Google saying that he had a permanent ban before starting the fresh domain/account. Even though he believed he had not violated a single policy, Google would never tell him what caused the suspension and just said he received a permanent ban for life, for that account. Creating a new domain was the only way to have any hope of getting onto Shopping at all ever again (which is why I recommend it for those last-resort cases amongst viewers). It was done at his own risk and the same is true for all viewers - I wouldn't recommend this unless you have no hope of getting the old domain name live ever again.
@@KeyCommerce Me any my friend follows all the rules got band even we create all the information fresh. new domain, new server, new google account connected to a new phone number, different IP, different browser, and this is the 4th account that googles banded even is a totally new one with ll fresh info. do you know a way around it? and is any one else facing a similar issue?

I am in the same boat. Just a few minutes ago I was informed by Google that they will not reinstate me. And the funny thing is I do not know what happened. I spend 3 weeks building the webpage working 18 hours per day and putting all my hopes into Google ads but now I am lost. Is there any hope for me to do some decent advertising to promote my site?
I got suspended too the issue was print on demand products. They want a real store with real inventory, a real address, etc. Their policies simply do not align with the entrepreneurs of today who have most of their businesses online. Google merchant policies are strictly designed to support only brick and mortar businesses.
Sam...I followed every step..shipping page..policy page..warehouse location..return policy..address.phone number..I went through EVERY step.. etc etc..I asked for a re review and google said not only was I still banned I would not be re instated. I am a new on line seller..not spammy at all..just selling some t shirts and notebooks I make through printful. Nooooowww what do I do. I JUST DONT GET IT!

this process of removing suspensions is so stupid. I just created a test merchant center and google banned it and the linked google ads account as well. I don't even need google shopping and unable to fix what they require. But they ask me to fix these errors

@Mr Sam Baldwin I've recently been told by google merchant centre that it is because my store is selling Print On Demand products and that business model is simply not acceptable anymore - and no amount of fixing up policies and correcting contact details etc will help.... Do you know anymore information about this? But if anyone has recently created a POD store and have been able to use google merchant centre without being suspended I would love to know how you did it? :)
Hi Sam, I followed all your advice on fixing suspended Merchant account, but could not succeed. This store had shopping ads for more than 3 months and we use an app to manage the feed, it expired and feed & account when unclained. By paying for the feed app we manage to take it back live again. However after 3-4 days it got suspended, I change policy pages, also delete feed app, create a feed using googlesheets manually and applied for review two times. Got rejected both time. Can you work on this. How can we contact you direct ?
You mentioned that you should state where the warehouse is located but I have multiple supplier warehouses located throughout the US, so how would that work ?
It's advisable to use an address to which a customer can send a product back in case of a return. Adding a business address to the website is no longer a requirement by Google, even though we recommend adding as much information as possible. By doing this you're improving the website's transparency.

Also, I dont know why my google ads is still showing "Your account is suspended" in red at the top each time I log in. On the preferences page it shows in the tab account status "active". If we don't meet the threshold for a state and sell there, do we not charge any sales tax on the sale or do we still collect the state of origin's sales tax (the sales tax of where our business is based)
Thank you very much for your valuable and useful information. Google has a lot of exploitation and did not leave you a reason at all. Also, the Google Merchant system in the design is impractical. You cannot edit products well. They put you in front of a problem and do not explain to you the reason for commenting this is very boring. Is it possible to reinstate if suspended for punctuation? My acct was suspended because I had an exclamation mark. Misleading my customer. I didnt know.
@@justanobody957 That was the exact reason they gave me. I have no reason to believe they would lie. Maybe you should take things for face value instead of reading into things and judging me. I've taken my business classes. And was reinstated after fixing the problem.

Could you let us know if you actually got your Merchant Center account reinstated? If you are referring to the Merchant center account, did you link your My Business account to Google Merchant before you got it reinstated?
Hey Sam. Thank you for making this video. What do you mean when you say don't make a fake business name? I have a registered business with a name which is completely unrelated to the product that I am selling on my one product store. Instead of using my real business name, can't I use a made up business name that matches the domain name of my store and which is relevant to the product I am selling?
Curious about the answer to this as well. I have the business name as the domain name but that is not the actual legal name. Seems like google does not have a place to put this information.

Hey Jon & Seiry. Google doesn’t usually allow digital products on shopping - they’ll approve them on a case by case basis. I’ve personally never heard of anyone successfully selling them and I couldn’t find any solid info online about it either. Wish I could be more helpful here
Hello Sam, the first time I tried uploading my feed it was disapproved and my account got suspended but then I read the required attributes and uploaded it again and got a message saying, my feed has been set up correctly and my product data can be used across multiple merchant center features. To see all issues, go to diagnostics. And all my products were approved but when I went to diagnostic, the same information when my account got suspended was showing which was disapproved products, what do you suggest I should do please?
Do we have to tax shipping for the states that require you to tax on shipping no matter what? or do we only start taxing on shipping as well once we meet the economic nexus thresholds in that state?
You need to find out what the policy violation was and fix it. Go through Google’s policies, make sure your site is up to scratch. Sometimes you can also call Google’s support numbers and speak to the Merchant Center department. SOMETIMES (not always) they can tell you what’s causing the error so you can fix it.

Hey Leonardo, you can do this via different virtual office services that allow you to purchase an address in their office as well as a phone number (other services also provide a phone number too).
Okay so i have created a new merchant account before watching this video and knowing it was last resort, but it kind of was last resort because i had been suspended with no good reason for months! "misrepresentation of self or product" was the violation i fixed everything that was in this video. I have attempted to fix the issues and nothing. So i made a new acct with new email address. Hopefully this works. Has anyone else made a new acct and it work for them??
