How to fix motorcycle flashers all going off at once. 

You sir are Batman. You just fixed a problem I've been trying to fix for over a month. Tried to buy one of the diodes from you but I think you stopped making them so I bought elsewhere. There diode had to come with other parts but that's ok. Their instructions were not so good. I went to your place today after church (because I just got the diode in) and had a month long problem fixed in 10 minutes. Thank you my friend.

Just an FYI - these are commonly referred to as a fix for metric bikes but this should also work on any bike with the 2 wire indicator light. Basically what is happening is that the indicator bulb is relying on the light opposite the selected indicator to provide grounding for it so that when one side is indicating, the other side is the ground. LED lights don't work this way so this kit is the fix and you are correct. I recently bought some cheap LED 3 wire bullets for my 1990 Harley Davidson and have the same problem. I originally just had solid lighting with no flash. I bought the LED flasher relay and through troubleshooting I found that it was flashing but all the lights would do was to dim. If I hooked the white wire (running lights) to the ground, I could get a bright flash via the red wire but all 4 would flash again. I narrowed it down to the turn indicator and realized I needed zener diodes on my indicator feeds to block the backfeed. I could make my own but was curious if anyone else already discovered this and made a kit so I began looking and ended up here. I am sure this will work on my older Harley with incandescent bulbs and 2 wire indicator but I can't speak to newer bikes with the canbus system. Thanks for doing the video and you did a good job of showing the issue and install. I will be buying my kit from you.

Have a klr with a trail tech vapour dash and did led signals and flash fast but work. Got another klr, mint, low km, and stock. Just did the same led setup and all 4 signals come on. This vid helped to track the bug. Getting a diode. Turns out the Vapour on the other bike is set up for led and the power stops at the dash. The stock klr does not. Many thanks🤘👌

Thanks Taylor. Just installed the diodes. It worked except the dash lite did not flash. Installed a new led compatible flasher with a ground EP 35 and It worked. I have a 71 750 and the harness had a ground tang there. So if anyone is having that problem try the new flasher. Pin 31 grnd. 49 blk 49a gray. Got my diode splitter kit a couple of days ago and did an installation. On a 2014 Kawasaki 900 classic. All worked perfectly after installing the LED flasher module, your kit and the LED bulbs. FYI, the grey and green wires can be accessed where they go in the dash connector by just undoing a little electrical tape. The black and yellow striped wire right next to them can be tapped for ground. Unless you choose to remove the gas tank, the hardest part is working in the little space afforded where the harness wires go down just behind the speedo assembly.

Did this for my 85 shadow, worked fine. As he says, plug the DIODE single side up to one of the cluster signals wires and the other wire from the cluster to a ground. Then connet the 2 DIODE ends to the signal wires. The running lights can go directly on to the signals.

I just purchased one of these from you for my 98' Kawasaki Vulcan 500. You make it look rather simple but I'll likely pull my hair out of my head trying to install it, lol.

Revival Cycles released a video today on wiring in bar-end LED turn signals, but I don't think those Moto-gadget units need a separate diode. Helpful to watch both videos, I think.

Hi, 1st thanks for this video. Super informative...2nd ordered a diode ur instructions were spot on. My problem is the side I ground, when I use that side to signal the head light and tail light flash.. Bad ground somewhere? Bikes a honda 96 xr250L TIA

What about if I have an aftermarket speedo with left AND right indicators telling me not just that a signal light is on but one for left and one for you right? The do I need 2 diods?

hi, first of all thanks for the video. very helpful information and well explained, wondering if you or someone here could help me, i got these led turn signals with 3 wires one for the running daylight and before installing the diode kit i tried by unplugging the light bulb of the indicator everything worked, day lights and turn signals, but when i installed the diode kit turn signals work but if i try the 3rd wire for running daylight it goes back to same issue,

Whats up Classic Octain? I have a 93 cb750 I swap out the rear 2 wire turn signal with led one's. I change the relay to a led relay. Work beautifully. My front turn signal uses a 3 wire set up. I change them to led all the light comes on at once. I use a resister for each one, but not one side work as it should. When I switch to the other side all the light comes on (turn signal) will the wire set you are selling fix this problem? And how much do I need? Thanks

Great video, i just ordered a diode kit from you, and i wonder if i have understood this right? i have four wires in front, two for each side, so 2 green, one blue and one orange. So the orange one i can just put directly to ground, the blue wire to the single connector on the diode kit, and then use the two remaining wires on the kit to each turn signal??

I had the same problem on '22 Honda XR150. I first added 2 rear LED signals which worked but would hyperflash. I replaced the flasher unit with an adjustable LED unit which fixed that issue. I got the 4 way problem when I added my front LED signals. The quick fix is to remove the dash indicator bulb. I did that and it all worked. I then installed a LED T10 bulb so now I get the indicator on R signalling only. My left signal wiring is orange and right side is lilac purple. Green for ground of course. I'd buy your adapter in a hot second if I wasn't in the Philippines. I'm sure the postage would be high. Can you tell me what diodes you used? Good video by the way!

I had got a 2013 suzuki tu250xl and have that issue after putting in led signals...you seem to make right this issue with the blinking...can I purchase a diode and if so what am I looking for when I install it? Thx Eric

I have a 2007 cbr1000rr the bike is set up with two indictor lights one for the left and right inside the cluster. So would I need two separate diodes or would one still work?

03 z1000. integrated LED tail and aftermarket led arrows up front. my front blinkers are hit or miss. sometimes they're fine. sometimes they are constantly on at like 15% brightness constant, 30% brightness blinking. none of the issues like you're having, i just find it interesting that yours were super dim when you had all 4 blinking. do you think your wires would help my bike? i've been troubleshooting this issue for over a year now. i can't figure it out. they have no ground on the front led amazon blinkers, just 2 wires.

I have an 82 cb900c with dual indicator turn signal bulbs. I upgraded all bulbs to LED, brake, turn, front and rear and turn indicator leds. Now all I get is; select rt turn rt.front just illuminates,no flash. Select left turn same result. In rear no turn signal or illumination, only brake lights work with front and rear brakes. On front left and rt. running lights shine when ign key is switched on & slightly brightens when turn selected either side. Do I need two of these diode harnesses,one harness for each ind led, and where to I connect them?

Bit different on mine. 2004 Honda vtx 1800 with 9 pin relay (quick fix would be to switch out 2 pin in other models but no). With LEDs wired up, when I turn the bike on, both sides flash like hazard lights. When I activate the switch, the correct side turns on and blinks fast. Obviously don't want to run around with both sides flashing all the time :D

I have aftermarket led rear blinkers that work fine. The front are still stock but I tried putting in led bulbs in the front. They are bright but hazard flash just the front two blinkers. The back flashes normal. Will this trick work for me or do I need a flasher relay? 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100

Hi. Thank you for this video. I just found myself having this same issue (LEDs all around, causes all LED signals to flash like hazards when any signal is turned on). If I leave 2 incandescent bulbs on either end, LEDs on the other. All is well, no hyperflash either. So, I have a 2007 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100, will your wiring fix work for me as well. Will it be in the headlamp housing and easy plug and play like you show? (I really dont want to cut any wires :) ). If so, I would like to buy your wire/diode kit if you are still selling.

If the 4 flash at once problem is caused by single dash indicator light - and does not happen with the 2 dash indicator light models - can I just convert the vintage single dash indicator to a pair of them rather than the diodes to stock dash indicator bulb?

The led lights were working fine but flashing fast. Took it apart to rewire neater and now when i turn front signal on both flash at the same time, but rear works properly. Any idea what the issue would be or does it require the diode?

I bought a flasher relay for my 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 when I installed my led turn signal and all of the flash when signals are turned on left and right. Indicator below speedometer doesn't flash. If I change the bulb will that solve my problem?

The single wire end connects to the positive coming out of the indicator, then the two other ends connect to the positive and negative of one of the turn signals? Or?

Hey man any reason why I got those diodes but it doesn’t work, I mean I connected the blue towards the harness and them one of each red to the signal lights of course grounding the other free wire but I just don’t get power after the diode.
