How to fix Motorhome and Van CONDENSATION 2024

In this video we visit Omit Van in Barnsley to see how their window vents for vans and motorhomes are made and to find out if they do get rid of condensation.
For transparency, we did not receive any money for this video but we were given the window vents so that we could test them.

Hi guys. Loved vlog. We've been motorhoming now for 10yrs and swear by our silverscreens cover for front windscreen. Gives us privacy, but main reason, keeps motorhome cool in Summer and warm in winter with no condensation. All made to fit each individual unit. I must say though we do open roof vent when cooking. Last thing you want is damp. From a barnsley fan. Xx take care, and I will keep watching. Love the banter you two have x

Great documentary, i have learned so much. I did not know that you can not see a lazer, its completely invisible. Lazers are hotter than the surface of the sun 🌞 They can sun tan you instantly People are more important than machines and Claire is a heavy breather. Great video, the highlight of our week 😂

Great vlog as always I tend to just have roof vents open a little when in van asleep and cooking ,great product for window ventilation also.

I made something similar for my van out of acrylic sheet and a metal grill and net, not as professional but does the job, interesting video 😊

Looks great. Now if they can use proper midge net why the heck don’t the window manufacturers do the same. Will have to exhaust their stock a bit more now. Very good of you to give them all that free CNC advice Andy. Thanks for the plug 😁👍

Really interesting vlog. I particularly enjoyed the cnc machining side of it. As others have said in the comments, we use external thermal covers and the cab blinds on the inside. I do think the window vents are a good ideathough. When Jane is cooking inside the motorhome she has a roof vent open & the kitchen window open slightly to minimise the condensation. Andy do you do much gardening & how many garden tools do you have?😂

Loved the video but all I could hear was people from Barnsley. speaking very fast. Even RU-vid subtitles struggled. Great video. Happy Easter and put the clocks forward as my Auntie told me today. I don’t have clocks ⏰ that need adjusting. What a waste of advice. Lazerweb quality firm!

Another great video - not surprised it’s steamy with Claire cooking - as per other comments it’s worth getting a silver screen as well - unfortunately I had one from my previous van but sold it a couple of months ago - my new van had one with it so didn’t need two - the company Silver Screens make them for your particular model but I reckon they are pretty standard - they’re good for keeping the sun off the screen is Summer etc - any road up - take care both

We’ve got the same blinds as you in our van and we suffered with condensation so we bought an external thermal screen cover from Taylor made based in Holmefirth and it cured the problem for us keeps us warm in winter and cool in summer I went to the factory in Holmefirth and they were really friendly and helpful

loving that idea Andy. I'd love a pair for my vivaro... it would be brilliant for sliding windows too. I'd love to test em out on Viv lol cos they'd look mega bril. good to hear folk talking with a decent accent too 🙂 I've just shown the video to Viv-i-van and she says yes please!!! wonder if the guys do them for vivaros and how much. I was supposed to be going to the easter weekend at Santa Pod which has been booked since last year but they cancelled it cos of weather issues with the camp site. Im proper disappointed as Ive not done drag race photography before but they've postponed it til may bank holiday and given us an extra day for free so hey ho. Ive decided I'm going to clay bar and ceramic coat viv over the weekend to pass the time and then I dont have to do it for the next thousand years lol. Hopefully you guys get out and about and do some more cracking vids. Much respect- Kenny

I looked at these and though £100 for bit of plastic But seeing just what goes into making them I will email to see if they do for my van. Only issue I foresees is my windows return down if they jam anything to stop getting fingers trapped.

I had a tool station own brand window vac. Useless as it couldn't get in to the bottom of the window and left 2 inch stripes on the top because window was too curved. So now I just leave the doors open, no condensation on the glass but I do get soggy seats if it rains. And if I park up in one particular spot I have this reoccurring dream that someone is in the van doing odd stuff to me but there is no one there when I wake up I the morning so it has to be dream, doesn't it?
