I would have never guessed that I'd see you ironing shoes. You always have some trick up your sleeve! That's a great tip for making them look pristine again. I may try this with one of my dress shoes, because some of them have very bad creases. In the long run the leather creasing is inevitable, right?
Hey Ryan! Yeah, well, sometimes the most useful things in life are quite unconventional. I hope it works out for you. Creases are inevitable as the leather fibers will eventually break down over time. Leather can last a LONG time if taken care of properly with conditioners, shoe trees, and regular cleaning maintenance, but it won't last forever. It's cowhide, which is skin. Even our LIVING skin wrinkles and creases over time, how much more hide that's no longer getting replenished. However, like this video, there are things we can do to mitigate the effects of age and wear. Thanks so much for watching!
I'll Google it as well, but i figured I'd ask here for engagement: can the filler be dyed? In other words, can I use white or neutral filler and then dye to match my shoes?
I appreciate you asking! Thanks for the algorithm boost! Yes, the filler can be dyed. I've done it before myself in order to get the right color. Neutral filler with black dye. Yep. Smart move!
