if you got low disk space, wouldn't recommend since setting it to 32000 will take up 31.25gb of storage

My rust just worked fine but today i opened it and it totally laggs and stutters and freezes. I cannot move if i move its like 1 step per 5 seconds how do i fix this?

idk what’s going on, i try and load up rust it take 10 minutes to open, and then i go to a server and it takes up all 16g of ram. i used to be able to play, now idk what’s happening. please help

Working actually! But use rather 4gb ram - 8192gb 8gb ram - 16384gb etc. And does not need to be SSD where your OS is installed. Can be any SSD. Working perfect on M.2 SSDs

I just wanna know if anybody has the same issue as me. When I play rust it will just randomly tab me out of rust and I can’t get back in for like 1-2 minutes. sometimes even kicking me from servers for being “unresponsive”. Does anybody else have the same issue as me?

Hey, one day I joined rust server an all of a sudden its lagging terribly, when I just join sever(just loaded up, laying on a beach) I have 1 or 2 fps, later it goes up to 60-80-100, but when I move/open inventory or something it freezes for Fe second and fps continues on dropping from 80-100 to less than ten. Once this happened I tried everything to fix it (literally opened my GPU), done a lot more and yet nothing helped, then I deleted OBS studio and everything works like before, playing on 60-100fps depends on the server. One week later same thing happened, fps started dropping, I couldn't find how to fix it. Waited for one week and it is working fine again. Now it's fourth time this happening and I just can't find a way to fix it, please help. Drivers updated, Nvidia cache deleted, rust game files verified (also reinstalled rust few times), disk has space 40gb free, dust from case cleaned (NONE OF THE PARTS seem to be overheating). Specs: 15-10100, GTX 780(old but high end). Please help guys🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

@NickBoi Thank you for your guide. I had lige shadow lags becoming from the mouse. I tried to switch mouse and this didn't help me but with your tip my "shadow lags" are gone. Not at 100% but at like 80%. Thanks a lot :)

I thought, that the reason of my crashes is RAM lack, when I saw 10gb in requirements, even tho I have 16gb, but only after your video, I fixed it by setting the check box for the auto adjusting the size of a paging file. I had it for 2gb before and had no issues until Rust, so thank you a lot dude

What if the game is installed on a different drive then windows? Because the drive windows is installed on for me is barely big enough to hold windows let alone rust so I have to have it on a different drive

I have 8GB RAM and mine by default is set to 24367 MB, which is more than the 16000 your recommending, so does lowering the number help? Or is higher better? I read that it's safe to have up to 3x or 4x the RAM number.
