GENIUS!!!! Thank you so much 🙌🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Wasn’t able to add a password to my new T9 4TB due to the app not recognizing when plugged in. Hours of searching and you are THE ONLY ONE who provided a correct solution 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😮💨🤩🥳 Cheers!!
Just to add after doing whats in the video i still didnt get the allow button so i went into my finder and deleted the ssd application then downloaded it again once it downloaded it asked me to allow it in settings and it worked again!!!
@@markohowto Thx for your reply .Eventually I made it work. The externs were allowed but the settings were on full security. When I put them on reduced security it still did not work. It finally worked when I removed the app and downloaded a new one.
Mine never says "allow" under the Privacy settings. It was working fine on my old Mac, but I got a new one, and now the new one won't detect the SSD. I'm not sure what to do. I have it on the reduced settings already too.
I use m2 pro with at that time latest update. Try this: Apple menu > System Settings, click Privacy & Security in the sidebar, then click Accessibility on the right
@@markohowto fixed it: I just reinstalled the Samsung portable software after following your steps in the video. Seems like the reinstall was needed to trigger the prompt to allow it to run. Thanks for your reply regardless! Hope someone else sees this and it helps them too
i see the same thing as you, i don't see the "enable system settings" i know what it is but it doesn't show on my macbook, that btw is a new one. @@markohowto
@@markohowto Same thing here, instead of enable system extensions, I have the options: Ask every time, Ask for new accessories, automatic when unlocked, Every time. Therefore, I can't follow the instructions further, as I don't have the option to select Enable System extensions..
@@oscarbenitezzuniga9169 That change is just to allow yourself to download "unauthorized" apps - and they are everything that's not on the app store. For example, if you were to download League of Legends, you won't be able to.
@@markohowtoi had already enabled the reduced security option for a software i had downloaded on my macbook air m2 a couple months ago but was still facing the issue of ssd not being detected. i ended up going back to full security, rebooting, then going to reduced security again and rebooting and now it is working!
