@@solidfixes Try putting Linux on it so light on resources make your head spin my other laptop has it, and it uses like 55 processes and you still can get the same browser and customize it to look better than windows.I had an old one and it keep freezing and stuff on windows it was so bad i put it in a closet and bought this one. Then i seen a video by Chris Titus great guy and he showed how easy it was to save my old laptop with Linux Mint and there is no freezing up there at all he saved my laptop from the recycle bin !!!

i have a question. at the msconfig the processors that you selected were 6, is it because you have 6 cores or 6 threads ? i for example i had to select between 1 to 16 but i dont have 16 cores but 8 cores with 16 threads, what should i select ?
So when I ran the command: SFC /scannow I get a message that "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." Anything I can do to fix this?
Be careful with these changes! Specifically the changes to the System Configuration. Changing the following rendered my computer unusable: - Boot Options to 'No GUI Boot 'and 'Time out of 3 seconds' - Boot Advanced Options of checking the 'Number of processors' and the 'quantity' These were the only changes I did from this video. My computer would boot but then it would lock. I had to go into Windows Safe Mode and back out those changes. Then the computer worked just like before the changes.
