The thing is, RU-vid's algorithm (probably) prioritizes videos that generate the most ad revenue. Clickbait content or "mediocre" the views from the algorithm due to the click-through rate of ads, ad interaction, watch time, and other factors. If other creators can generate more revenue with their content, then I could see a reversal of YT's promotion of overly corporate content. If not, then I see YT continuing to promote the same clickbait content.

Honestly, from all the companies you showed on the video, the only one I would forgive is TED-ed, because I consider it's one of the only companies that upload really useful/interesting information. There should be two different categories on RU-vid. One for the content creators who work alone and the other for huge businesses who have employees under them.

RU-vid need two seperate trending pages one for mainstream stuff like the Tonight Show and Conan and one for true RU-vidrs like The Gabby Show Zoella Smosh Phillip Defranco Jacksepticeye and others who put out quality content and can be considered true youtubers because RU-vid is what made them famous. Ellen can't say RU-vid is what made her famous but Shane Dawson can so RU-vid should make sure it's algorithm favors the people who do RU-vid for a living or who's channel's content is soley made up of videos created specifically for RU-vid. Not the latest clips from the televised talk shows or interviews with the cast from the latest flick.

I agree getting big on youtube has a slim chance already but when companies are the biggest ‘creators’ it will be less of a chance then getting big now and content will get stale even more as creators will start clickbaiting more and more making unoriginal content just to get more famous junk you don’t care about will flood your recommended section
