Thanks for this... as being new to 3d and getting my printer today, I had no clue the software version was in conflict with the firmware that came with my unit. I knew something was not quite right as the test print would work but no minis I have files for would work. Big thanks!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I just bought my first 3D printer (Elegoo) and while the rook test file worked fine, everything else wasn't showing up or was giving an ":unknown file error." At first I thought it was user error as me being a novice, but found this video and was saved from regretting my purchase and hours of frustration.

whelp, the firmware is not there anymore. I typed your URL in exactly and it just gives FAQs that are completely unrelated.

Thanks for this. I was given an old mini and firing it up for the first time hitting obstacle after obstacle. Firmware fixed it seeing files but now it’s giving a resolution error. Someone recommended Lychee instead of chitubox so I’ll try that tomorrow. Here’s a tip, don’t hit “test lcd” with a tray full of resin.

Thank you for the fix. New printer wasn't working out of the box with latest Chitubox. Downloaded new Mars 2 Pro firmware on Elegoo website, copied everything to root directory on USB and turned on the printer. Update took 5 seconds and I'm printing.

Really wish you took more time to break down how you organized the files on your USB. I've been sitting here for 30 minutes screwing this up despite having the correct download.

Also, When you have the file loaded in ChituBox, when you click SETTINGS in the gray bar above the Blue SLICE button and the white wind box pops up, CLICK THE PAPER in the left upper corner of the WHITE WINDOW BOX with the + sign in the middle TO ADD YOUR MACHINE to the print file!

Wonderful vid. I just bought a Saturn 8k and very excited to jump in. Printed the rook, but now with couple new files I tried it on I get format issue message. I followed you video, but when i tried to find my printer and the firmware it wasnt listed on elegoo's page. I even went to Chitu sys, like you recommended. i went under support found download and firmware but cant tell from the list what i need. This is very confusing >

I went to the download page and looked for my printer, and thought I found it. But the printer I have is a Elegoo mars 2, and it is listed, but when I downloaded the file, it was for a Neptune and there were so many different files inside of download that I dont know which ones to use.

Hi, I have the Qidi Tech Shadow 5.5s and the firmware update is on my flash drive to the printer. It does not update automatically and when I go to "print" the .lcd file it says unknown file, but the other .bin file downloads. My printer still stays it's on the old firmware. I am at a loss because it's a 3 yr old printer and I can't print any .cbbc file to any slicer without it saying unknown file.

What about for a Mac iOS computer I only see 7zip downloads for windows?

Does anyone know where I can find the firmware for Chitubox 1.9.4 for a Qidi Shadow 6.0 Pro? I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I don't get a list of firmware when clicking on this link. All I get is a banner that says "User Manual 2.0 Now Updated", which is in fact a broken link that goes nowhere. I can't print anything until I can get it.

How do you get the download to auto run on the printer? It loads up and I click on it and nothing happens but shows the files

I bought Elegoo Saturn S, I did updated my printer and on the information screen, it shows it has been updated. it still does not recognize my file made with ChiTu box 1.9… can anyone help?

Update your printer firmware to be compatible with Chit box 1.9 or newer is locking you in to only use their Chitubox slicer for no reason.

When I download the firmware for the elegiac mars 2 pro there is no .ror file and when I put it in my 3d printer nothing happens

Just incase theres any plebs like me out there. If you're getting this issue randomly pop up and everything is up to date; open your file and make sure you're still on your plate option for your respective printer. Some how clicked default while importing a model over - thats why mine wasn't liking some of the .ctb formats. Just two days worth of time and probably added double that going back and changing it all back 😓

Do not see firmware page just the V1.95 download. I get the unknown File Format error with the Creality LD 002R which is suposidly supported, so I have to revert to V1.6

From some youtube channels i've saw that after upgrading firmware for Chitubox 1.9.0 printer still accepts old versions of ctb files and compatible with other slicers. So locking out is probably only for printers released with Chitubox 1.9.0 out of the box. Is your Mighty 4K still accepts older (from v1.8.1 and bellow) ctb files?

Ive encountered same problem yesterday xD Problem is that my elegoo mars pro doesnt recognize anything from the firmware. The instructions on their site are clear and easy to follow, except the plate only goes up a bit and then printer stops. The files on the LCD screen all from the firmware turn red. Yes its the right version for the right printer. But I had problems with Elegoo since the beginning, Anycubic had mechanical issues out of the box and Elegoo prints 1/5 models (regardless of settings). Most often things just stick to FEP. It feels to me like the "cheapest" and all so praised resin printers arent as good as thought and cant work without issues. Quality is superb tho :P But in all other instances, its a complete mess. Aaaanyways, back to FDM xD

i have a problem can anybody help i have an anycubic photon mono just new but every time i try to print a file my computer shows me every thing is as it should be but then when i put the stick in the printer and actually try to print my printers screen shows (and prints) a distorted and shredded version of my original slice its like a layer was copied left and right of the original and all are cut into strips if anyone can pls help
