I cannot thank you enough! Your simple visual video cured my annoying "Unfortunately,google app has stopped. " I followed multiple talk/visual videos and uninstalled serveral apps with no fix to problem. The ATT store folks said there was no fix except to restore factory setting or buy a new phone. Whoever you are, you're a genius. This 71 year old grandmother gives you a virtual hug.

It's so nice that you think you've fixed crashing apps by this thing everyone already knew how to do. But the reality is, many apps are crashing and this does not fix anything. KitKat especially has a remarkable problem where apps can't even be opened at all. Instant crash, so there's nothing to clear and this can't fix that.

Thanks for the clear, consice and succinct video. I no longer get the "android.process.media has stopped" dialog on start up on my ZTE ZMax running KK 4.4.4 and no loss of media such as pics, vids, music, etc... Thanks again, and if the issue should return, I now know of an easy fix for it.

If it's a built in app and this method didn't work try settings>apps>app your having issues with>unistall updates (this should rest it back to factory settings) and your problem should be solved!

I had error after update to KK 4.4.4. The error is "android.process.media" So i reset whatever related to media like "media storage, camera,..." Lastly, worked! Thanks for this tips!!! From: Xperia Z1C KK4.4.4

If you clear data you loose all settings. For games that have progress kept this could be "devastating". What can you do in this case?

Try deleting the apps that you think may cause this issue. for example: Mobogenie, AdAway. those apps are not from the play store. thumbs up so people can see

Hey so I launched this app called beat the boss 3 and I pressed the power off not to shut down but yeah and then like 3 hours later I turned it on I went to unlock my password and then its a black screen and when I press and hold the button to shut it down does not appear. I turn it off then back on still a black screen then some times it says unfortunately the system UI has stopped working. Then the screen turned red on the outer layer then I could see the options to shut down I press it nothing happens. Please help me and my buttons don't work my phone is from t-mobile

That looks to work fine for google but what if you have a unfortunately contacts stopped , and you have done a factory reset... and a i think a recovery factory catche wipe..... what should i try next can some please help have the galaxy s4.

I am getting this message with You Tube. Only it says "App isnt installed". when I look at the settings it does appear to be installed. If I go to Google Play to install a new one, it shows it already installed and gives me the option to open it from there and it does open and works. If I try one of the solutions that suggests clearing cache and data, wont I lose all my playlists?

Unfortunately there is no SIMPLE fix for this. For example, CloudAgent (an Android Service) is a common one that stops working, but nothing you do to CloudAgent will fix it because another app has stopped CloudAgent working, usually something like DropBox (a Samsung App). You have to identify the offending app and then take action. Best solution is still Google the specific mesage along with your device model and see if anyone else has managed to cure it. I fixed my CloudAgent message by simply disabling Dropbox.

If you re-install dropbox the issue will probably return. I stopped using dropbox for cloud storage, I use Mega, you get 50GB for free. Never used it on the phone but there is an app for it on Play Store. I use it all the time on my PC with no issues whatever. The storage space on Dropbox is pitiful. Glad to be of help.

I've got an HP TouchPad running Android 4.0. It runs well for the most part, but after a few days I have this weird problem where I can no longer run any apps without closing another app in the recent apps menu. When this happens, the app I'm starting will display the error "Unfortunately, XXX has stopped," until I close an app from that menu. After a while, the number of apps I can run gradually reduces to zero, at which point I have to reboot my tablet in order to be able to run apps again. Does anyone know what the source of this problem might be and how I can solve it? It's a bloody annoying thing and I get really frustrated with it whenever it happens. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ok... I put my phone to airplane mode and then hit factory reset. I lost every data on phone (apps were not erased, but data was) but my phone worked as new. cheers.

I cleared all of the datas and text messages and games and shut off my phone then later on I turned it back on and it worked as good as new and it was normal again :)

If you are getting this problem with the video player, try uninstalling the video player update and you should be good.

There is no reason this should work! The error is most likely caused by the App being badly designed, not anything the user is doing!

What they forget to mention is tgat you will lose all of your bookmarks if you do this...and then the same error will start up again in a week. This does not fix the problem!

My clock stopped working and I cannot set the alarms. I deleted the caches, the data, do junk cleansing on the my phone, and it still does not work. What is strange,however, is after I do the cleansing, the most current alarm settings were gone, and the alarm setting of a while ago returned. I suspect there is a file hidden somewhere that the clock is clinging to when the files relevant to the current settings are deleted. Can anybody help ?
