Great video! I have just bought a 1950s house with a very small ceiling sag in the dining room. My father inlaw thinks the old hardwood trusses will be too hard to screw into. Any experience of this?
Yeah true they will be difficult, if you don't get the screws where you want them the first go, if you go to tighten them they will snap. So expect some breakages if you don't get them in ,in one go
Great video, I had a leak in a radiator in the floor above, and my ceiling below has a bow / sag from the water. Should I wait a few weeks for that drywall to dry, so I can push up on the bow with a 2x4 tee then re screw in between where old nails were.
I have this issue in a bedroom. You can just see the seems . Once I screw it back up can I just spackle over the seems if they don’t crack or do I need to tape as well?
What is the cause of the sagging - sloppy workmanship at the time of the original hanging of the sheets, or just time? Also what is the costing on doing something like that sort of repair.
Is there a need to re-glue the sheets? All my glue has given way and it would be a pain in the ass to have to reglue it all. I did re glue some sheets but it took a while.
the peice work guys worked too fast on that one but the tapers shoud of said somthing or even after that the painters should of noticed oh well life goes on and the real pros fixes there mistakes lol
