Don't forget to unclog the drain tube from the back of the refrigerator, be sure that is frre of dust and debris. Because if the drain is frozen, must be Because that tubing is clogged

Excellent vid. Thx Brother! Going to tackle this today. Unfortunately I suggested to wifey that leak was no problem since she could just mop the kitchen floor more often. After an ER visit & 12 stitches I’m doing better 😅. Also this is a known problem. Evidently WP will sell us a metal hook to hang on defrost line to go into drain to stop freezing. But another guy just bent a piece of copper wire & hung it over defrost tube & works same without giving WP engineers who are losers- more money. 😊

If it happens again soon then you could have issue with defrost cycle components.

We were just about to go buy a replacement as I thought our ~15 year old side by side was done. This was 100% the issue, I just used the hair dryer to clean out the frozen over drain and will cross my fingers we solved the problem. Thanks for the detailed walk through!
