I had to do it 3 times to get it. When you type the command, make sure that you use the space and forward slash

Unfortunately, this did not work for me. With the release and renew commands said they did not work with no ethernet or wifi connection, which is what I don't have because I'm stuck in airplane mode...

Try Repairing Windows Search cmd then run as admin and execute the following 3 commands one by one- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Restart. Once Done Trying Running System File Checker SFC Scan sfc /scannow Restart. Windows Updates- Install all the latest Updates and then Restart the PC.

Guys, have you tried re-booting your PC and toggling flight-mode on / off on the Windows start-up screen? - click the Airplane icon on the Windows start-up splash screen to toggle Airplane mode on / off. Worked a treat.

This is making my computer worse now. After typing in services.msc again (because this didn’t work the first 2 times!) now it’s saying: The service cannot accept control messages at this time. You didn’t give the ipconfig directions correctly with the space and forward slash. You need to talk SLOWER.

This did not work. At the end when I went to turn off Airplane mode the switch icon was still grayed out. I followed the instructions precisely and I did it twice.

Now every time I try to open anything it says: The service cannot accept control messages at this time! So now my laptop is screwed up and I can’t afford to pay anyone to fix it! Either it’s space or space forward slash. You said just space in one of those commands.

Click the Start button and in the search bar, type: CMD. Right-click CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator. Click Yes on the User Account Control (UAC) prompt that appears. Once the blinking cursor appears, type: SFC /scannow And restart then run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command with the same process. It will repair all the windows files

My laptop crashed a few weeks ago and had to do a complete reset. Laptop was stuck in airplane mode. Tried every fix that was suggested but nothing worked. Now because of the mad electricity prices in the UK, I always switch off my tv at the socket every night but last night I also decided to switch off my router ( which I never do). Woke up this morning, turned on my laptop and router and all wifi networks were available! The fixes recommended that you should unplug your router for 30 seconds but obviously some routers need a lot longer than that.

Yes, it worked for me too. At NUMEROUS points in the process, it looked as if it weren't working (lots of error messages, and such), but I just kept going all the way to the end and it worked. I had tried so many other things. This one worked!
