my discord server: / discord In this video I show you guys how to fix performance issues with windows 11 and steamvr. This will work on any VR game that uses Steamvr.. works with vrchat, half life alyx, pavlov, phasmophobia, and more!!
Amazing resource, you literally fixed the ONE thing that was driving me crazy, I have a 3080 Ti and a 7900X and was just confused by the performance I was getting, you literally fixed it all!
Such an easy and simple fix, was getting constant graying out and stuttering like crazy on just the steam vr home, did this and one restart later I've had the best FPS i've had in a year
THANK YOU! I've been scouring forums and reddit for weeks trying to find a solution to this problem. Nothing has worked until I found you ya freaking legend! Now I can finally enjoy VR again!
WOW! I have been trying for almost 9 months to figure out why my Link Cable had a huge stuttering issue with Windows 11. My Virtual Desktop app ran smooth with my games so I know it wasn't a PC performance problem. But when I would switch it to Link Cable, it was unplayable stuttering. I tried everything under the sun and watched countless videos but your tips did the trick! I can't thank you enough for this!
Thank you so much. I have been going crazy trying to fix this. You dont know how much you helped me. Now I can play bone works perfectly fine. THANK YOU
You're a real saver, I was about to give up on idea of running games on big VR screen. They would stutter for no reason, dropping both FPS and the whole SteamVR performance to painful levels.
You can turn off SteamVR home and some more things off to. Steam home will always run in the background prioritizing over ur game so turn that off and you have a fun time playing my friend :)
@@aramioxperez1068 you need to be in ur SteamVR then click settings in the bottom right corner, look to the left on the bottom it says turn on advanced settings and then you can see somewhere in it purple looking setting to turn it off :D
@@trevorphillips2250 I've got a 3090 and a rysen 5 CPU so I don't really think that's the problem and also I cant link my side Qwest to my vr because of developer mode even tho its enabled so idk but tanks for the tip
Idk how you figured this out but thank you so much. I was gonna return my Oculus Quest 2 because of lag and stuttering but when I found this video it fixed everything, so thank you.
Thank you so much! I thought my router was the problem then I found this and tried it out. This fixed my issue with the new Steam Link App on the Quest 3 using Wi-Fi. Now with manual bit rate set to 150 and encode maxed out I can still get a stable 120 fps and near 20 ping latency without any of those annoying micro stutters.
Wow this was a massive help in boosting my performance. I'm still using my pc and vr wirelessly the way its not intended, so performance was awful but now it's actually playable. Not amazing, but playable. Thanks a ton!!!
Thank you so much for helping because I hate when my game keeps glitching. I got banned somehow I know I was in a modded lobby second, I joined never picked up but thank you so much. It always started in mine so that was really helpful.
Built a new PC and did a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro. With my Valve Index I was getting frame drops once every 5-10 seconds. This seems to have fix it so far. HL Alyx is running pretty smooth now. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come back. Thanks!
Bought a Quest 3 this week. Had 3 days of seemless gameplay. Out of the blue came stuttering visuals and crackling sounds. Tried many solutions and nothing worked. This did the trick!
THANK YOU SO F.....G MUCH MAN !! You solved a problem I had for many years ! I have a Rtx 3080ti TUF like BlackBellaVRC, a 5800X Ryzen 7 with 32 GB 3600hz ram. I had the exact same thourghts about all the lack, now it's pretty much gone
Wow I'm glad to help man!!🤜🏻🤛🏻 Btw random tip, make sure your ram is set to its advertised speed in bios, AMD relies on ram speed more than Intel does. Alot of people are running on default bios settings without knowing lol.
I just bought a index because I thought this issue was a quest problem. To my surprise it was still happening. Now I don't have to hate myself for the upgrade. Thank you!
Sorry for the question but not familiar with it.. when you use pitool (Pimax software), it needs to start steam VR. Is it possible somehow to use pimax in FS2020 or xplane without it?
helloo, so i've got a few questions i'm currently on my aspire 5 laptop and these are my system specifications (which im not sure if theyre fine for launching oculus link or steam vr) My processor - AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics My graphics card - AMD Ryzen 5000 Series My memory - 8GB RAM USB cable i'm currently using for connecting my vr up - usb-c to usb-c Is it possible to run oculus link or steam vr? edit - i have got it running before but its ridiculously laggy and sometimes doesnt launch
omg thanks im'so happy it worked, before i tried your solution i was reading some comments and i got mad reading comments which didn't say if this worked out or not, it's so useless to write a comment and not say if this trick worked or not! so.... FOR ME IT WORKED, THANKS XD
I am using Quest 2, and still experiencing the shuttering issue with Half life. I tried OculusDebugTool -> Toggle console window visibility, and the shuttering issue is completely GONE! The trick is I have to turn on the Toggle console... , restart PC, open Half life right away (the Toggle console will remain open). Unfortunately, if I put down my goggle, switch to other program on my PC and put back my goggle, then the issue come back.
Thanks I recently got windows 11 and I had lots of crashing in games and this really weird shaky bug where when I moved my hands or head it would shake weirdly, I will save this link and just send the video link to anyone who needs it
Never had stutters or lag in SteamVR with Windows 11 so far. But I get whole Headset Freezes from time to time. Maybe that's some Windows 11 + WMR + Steam VR combination issue cuz it's on the Reverb G2. I'll try those changes though. Thanks mate. :)
it tends to happen more if you go in your overlay and use other apps while in VR. when your game/steamvr loses focus it tends to start stuttering really bad
This has somewhat worked......want to play no mans sky on quest 2 with link cable. Prior to finding your video i couldnt even load it. Now atleast i can but.....once in game...its a laggy mess. 😢 thanks tho. Amaxing vid. Quick and too the point
@@mooky4886 Talking about before or after? Before it would take really long to load then I would lag so much I crash and after I did this it clean for almost all the levels no lag but it would stutter once and a while
@@SeerFloat I think I have the same thing as you, cuz I would launch the game, be on the loading screen for ages and the. It just crashes, it had a timer that kept flipping as well
It didn’t really work for me. I play rec room on steam vr and it’s just always laggy. Like I can go five seconds without lagging my headset off. I did all the steps and had hopes for the lag to be gone and it didn’t go away. Is there any possible way to fix this. I’ve been struggling with this issue for a year. If there is any possible way of fixing this issue please please let me know. 🙏 🙏
Man installed windows 11 2 times tried pavlov vr had a reduction of 90 fps to 55 to 60fps after update. went back to w10 issue gone. never knew how to remedy it. Everyone is saying it helped so will try it out. Thanks for putting the info out there
