this is what it says for me plz help Set-MpPreference : A positional parameter cannot be found that accepts argument '_UILockdown'. At line:1 char:1 + set-MpPreference _UILockdown 0 + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + CategoryInfo : InvalidArgument: (:) [Set-MpPreference], ParameterBindingException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : PositionalParameterNotFound,Set-MpPreference
The error message suggests that the Set-MpPreference cmdlet has failed to execute. This cmdlet is used to configure preferences for Windows Defender, which is the built-in antivirus program in Windows. The HRESULT 0x80041013 error is a WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) error, indicating that a provider load failure has occurred. The most common causes for this type of error are related to issues with the WMI itself, which may include: 1.A damaged or corrupted WMI repository. 2.Problems with WMI service startup. 3.Incompatibility or missing updates of the operating system. Here are some steps to troubleshoot this issue: 1.Restart WMI Service: Restarting the WMI service might solve temporary glitches. To do this, press Windows + R, type services.msc and hit Enter. Find Windows Management Instrumentation service, right click on it and select Restart. 2.Rebuild the WMI Repository: If the issue persists, you might need to rebuild the WMI repository. To do this, open the Command Prompt as administrator and enter these commands: bash Copy code net stop winmgmt /y winmgmt /resetrepository 3.System Update: Ensure your Windows system is up-to-date. An outdated system might cause compatibility issues. You can check for updates in the settings panel. 4.Windows PowerShell Execution Policy: Check your execution policy settings. You might not have the necessary permissions to run the script. Open PowerShell as an administrator and type Get-ExecutionPolicy. If the output is Restricted, you'll need to change it by entering Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. If the issue persists after trying these steps, I would recommend reaching out to a local IT professional or Microsoft Support for further assistance.
