How to Fix WowGo 2 Remote Signal Issue | WowGo 2 Review Part 5

I tried to reproduce the remote signal issue I encountered in the previous episode. WowGo sent me an antenna to add to the ESC to resolve the problem. Also performed another range test with the 5.2 Ah battery.

Just got my antennae today (finally)! Other than minor connection issues as you touched on, I absolutely love my Wowgo 2. Now that lone issue should be resolved. Thanks for the video Daniel & really enjoy your matter of fact & humble demeanor in your vids! Keep it up!

An interesting thing is that we both got our boards around the same time (december 15), but I do not have the connectivity issue. I even have signal 15m away from the board. Anyway, after around 150-250km it's still in great shape, just rusty screws. A really reliable board tbh. One time I got scared because it didn't want to accelerate after I came to a complete stop. The problem was actually the remote which was discharged. I'm glad it works even when charging it with a powerbank. In 2 months of owning it I only had to charge the remote 3 times. +favorite part about it is that it turns on when you move the wheels. makes everything fast. Now they are selling a 41.5V charger and have a new version 2s of the board that has better bushings and bearings + new remote. nice additions

Yeah I don't think the signal issue happened to everyone. The 2S seems like a nice upgrade. Not sure if that one still has the smart turn on though since they changed the ESC. I know the Ownboard doesn't.

I think any of them will do fine for a new user. The Meepo v1.5 might feel more wobbly compared to WowGo 2 but it also turns better. WowGo 2 has a bigger turn radius but it feels a bit more stable at higher speeds. But you can change the bushings on either of them to change how they perform.

Hey Daniel, In my Wowgo 2s Pro remote, the range was 438km but suddenly it lost the connection with the board and after reconning (which took multiple turns), the distance travelled dropped to 238km. Is it the problem of esc or remote? Can they be reprogrammed?

If my antenna is broken and I have both pieces, could I solder it back together? I have a 2S esc so its covered in apoxe.

tyty i have same connection issues I got my free antenna and was trying to psyche myself up to open board to fit.only seen a still photo so had visions of soldering ect but a simple unscrew and click i can do that.

Man so many nice places to ride! Wish london was like that.. Another great vid.. I'm still waiting for my replacement deck and truck (and antenna) after it's untimely demise under a shuttle bus. Tired of walking. lol. Though i just realized that I don't think if you buy just a deck it comes with grip tape.. gonna have to find a skate shop in london. I ride in the wet a lot (#london) and the bolts holding on the covers are all rusting even though they have a black oxide coating. Screws seem excessively long too. I want to replace them with with shorter stainless hardware.. no idea where to get those in London though..lol.

turbo2ltr Don’t you slide around riding on wet roads? Or are you used to it? 😄 I’m really careful when I see a wet patch. Slipped a couple times.

Surprisingly no. I think there was once I felt it lose a little traction around a corner, but for the most part I have not had any issues with it. I mean I don't try to carve with it or anything and I stay away from metal manhole covers. The roads here are pretty rough, with the exception of the road I live on that seems like it was fairly recently paved.. I know all about the numb feet thing. Slows you down quite a bit too. I wish I was home so I could 3d print some fenders cause riding in the wet throws road grime all over your shoe and pants. The smoother the road, the more gets kicked up!

Those 21.6 km were with the 6.4 Ah LG battery version? And did you got that connectivity issue after installing the antena? Thanks in advance ;)

PRAWON That was with the 5.2 Ah battery. And no signal issue so far since adding the antenna.

I got my wowgo1 back in January will it have this problem I only experienced once when it had like a battery left and it wansnt constant

WowGo 1 uses a plastic case so probably won't have any signal issue. WowGo 1 is the board I've ridden the most so far and actually I've never had any problems with it.

Can someone please explain me the wheels on the Wowgo 2S. There's an upgrade option but what does that mean? The standard version has normal wheels and if you pay extra you get wheels that are swappable without having to buy the whole motor with wheels?

@Eddie Hall I don't understand. You can just get the sleeves that have the rubber on them and you don't need to buy the whole tite with the motor.

I have a wowgo 3 with 360km and I have the same problem. When I accelerating the remote control is start vibrating and write 10% battery then a few seconds later the board power off.. Anyone has any idea what's the problem?

How can I have an antenna? I tried to contact WowGo on Reddit but they didn't answer. I need at least the name of the connector used so I can buy one elsewhere.

Side note: I hate hate hate HATE the WowGo2 death-trap let's-kill-the-rider-by-never-stopping-on-even-the-slightest-downhill brakes. I just upgraded my WowGo2 ESC yesterday to the new Meepo V3 ESC and it's not perfect, but soooo much better already! I'm very happy with the new Meepo V3 ESC. It is so much faster too. New speed of 25mph instead of 22mph, and acceleration is *twice* as fast (in Pro mode), with brakes being *significantly* better when brakes are also in Pro mode! So...even though I've previously been a WowGo fan for 2 yrs, buy a Meepo V3. WowGo is falling behind and did I mention I hate hate HATE HATE HATE their death-trap brakes!?
