Additional info: it is important to prime the tube from the water reservoir to the motor! My first try I forgot that and got "insufficient water" message, because the pump is pulling air. Opened it up again, took the tube from the anti leak valve and disconnected the connector from the pump motor on the board. I placed the FULL water compartment on it's receiving nipple . Than a 5volt power supply on the motor will pull - slowly - the air out and it will suddenly start to squirt water! Connect to the valve again and check once more with the 5volt power supply if it comes out of the drippers! Reconnect the pump connector to the board and close the machine.

@@LeVarker1 more exactly it was some kind of silicone tube that fited both on the syringe and robot's other tube (i don't remember how it was exactly). the idea is just to get an air-tight passage to expulse whatever is blocking the water flow. it can be either a syringe or a bike pump, anything with what you can apply enough pressure

Update: after a couple of more cleaning sessions mop cleaning completely died, tried cleaning the nozzles and everything as shown in this video. I ordered new water pump assembly including nozzles from Aliexpress for around 25 eur and replaced it pretty easily (you just need to unscrew two additional screws to remove the plastic funnel that's above the nozzles). It works great now, so I guess the water pump died (which you can get for 12 eur).

To check the DC motor on the pump I connected two AA Batteries in line so 1.5X2 =3 Volts and I used electrical Alligators clip to connect some copper wires to it, and what I wanted is to hear the motor spinning. I am not sure I understood what you said about blowing air to the filter, I used a compressor to blow air into the tube after I disconnected the tube line and if you don't have a compressor maybe you can get compressed air in a can like is used to clean computer hardware.

Motor is 3.3V.

This sounds like maybe water got inside your device and shortcut something on the electric board and in this case, it might be difficult to fix. also, this can be a software issue, and you might be able to fix it by performing a firmware update from the app.

I dont know about the clogged pump, but I unclogged the valve by pushing water with a syringe and leaving it sumerged in water overnight.

@@sarahsiregar I took it apart and checked every single part by itself, that's how found out that the problem was the one way valve (the thing the person in the video thinks it might be a filter). I've seen videos where people push water directly from that valve near the water compartment and it worked for them.

If you've already disassembled it then you can do what @SAMUELDIY does in this video at 11:00 but with water and a syringe instead of air.

From what I know, there is no water level sensor component, when the robot has a problem pumping or sucking water from the tank because of any reason (clogging or pump issue) It will state "LOW WATER LEVEL"

Take out the water tank and check if something blocking the water exit on it. also, you can try to fill it with vinegar it might dissolve fur if it accumulates inside your tubes

Since you say this worked for you ,I will recommend everyone with this issue try blow some air to the intake hole near the left spinning brush ,before disassemble

@@SAMUELDIY Sadly after a long time of use it stoped working again. I think the oneway valve is broken or something. Did you also the tube? It's 4mm but is it latex or silicone tube?

@@haajee1 Hello,I must say this happened to me as well after a year that it was working just fine I got the orange light again and no water, this time I did something else; I just removed the water tank, and the mop and then I flipped the robot on the table, On the bottom there are 3 very little holes and I pushed compressed air to every one of these holes till I felt the air is coming out from the other two holes this removed whatever was stuck in the tubes and the robot was working again with the mop. I am not sure what are the tubes are made of silicon or latex and honestly I don't think it matters as long as it is in the right size and can carry water. GOOD LUCK!

when it was open I was able to identify 3 motors, one big motor for the vacuum turbine, one medium-size motor for the wheels, and the small motor that is in this video for the water pump, hope that helps

@@SAMUELDIY The link above is not relevant to the Mop Essential. Different design. Mine is leaking from the 3 ports and drains the water container while charging. I guess for some reason the way of the water is not restricted (by the pump?) and siphon drains the remaining water.

@alexprimero5 did you fix the problem ? Mine is also leaking like yours and can't find how to fix it.

Sorry to hear about that, you can try this: in the xiaomi there are 3 very little holes that the water comes out from, try to turn around your vacuum and search for similar holes then you will need something strong to blow air inside these holes, a compressor with small enough tip.

Did you find a solution? Same problem here. I can blow thru all hoses, except the filter.

@@gabrielaguiar4708 sorry i did not see comment. I ordered new pump set and what I think it is not filter, but one way valve. And I also coild not blow thru the new one. I installed the set and it works fine now

@@MikariN40 There is no motor in the water bin,there are couple of motors inside the vacume.one of the motors is the motor for the water pump(this is the motor that in the video he connects the external AA battery) if this motor is not working the vacume can not suck water from the bin to the vacume.
