Im new to sewing and your shit is actually really useful dude‼I was wondering if you knew how to get clean hems on separate layers of denim that are curved (idk what if theres a technical term for it) like no faith wavy denim or hades tornado route pants. If you could make a tutorial or point me to some resources as to where I could learn that would be so helpful 🙏‼
cut a piece of fabric to the shape you want, you can just pin and sew it witha simple running stitch wherever you want on the knee like a patch or if you have a machine you can do any crazy type stiches u waannntttt :::::::) all the way around
It'll take a lot of time if you want to sew well but other than that I don't see why it wouldn't work, I myself sew by hand sometimes, just make sure to make smaller stitches so it looks like a machine have done it because it'll hold the fabric better than bigger stitches and won't fall apart if you wash/wear them
what size were the pants originally?? i have two pairs of pants i want to do this with and i want the same sort of look but im afraid it wont be as baggy
so confused about the cutting part on deciding on how wide i want the pants to be because you measured 11 inches. essentially i have a 9inch leg width jeans and i want to make it 11inch long so does that mean i cut out 3 inch long from a donor pants?
@@JakeThacker-t1w my rule of thumb is typically 3.5 stitch length for thicker stuff and 2.5 for thinner. For zig zags just play around with width and length to see what looks best
Ironing the extra fabric straight might help, if not the fabric is probably not stiff enough or different than the original fabric on the pants. Lmk if ironing works
