I noticed you have the clogging tap shoes, why do other flatfoot and buck dancers have just leather soles and no taps? I personally like the clogging shoes as the tap sound is clearly than trying to get the same sound with leather soles. Is there a right and wrong? shoe for flatfooting or buck?
Traditional flatfooting and buck is done in leather soled shoes or boots. Clogging originated in flatfooting, but has evolved greatly through the years. As cloggers, we still use traditional flatfooting and buck in our dances, occasionally, but more and more rarely. Since we wear our double tap clogging shoes for clogging, we would also use them for flatfooting and buck. There really is no right or wrong. I hope this answers your question.
Hi Kevin, I'm sorry, I don't have any other videos about buck dancing. I just posted this to help with one of the dances that I choreographed. Sorry about that.

@@colleenzurbrigg It's very special event that happens most weeks of the year. If anyone is ever in SW VA, especially in good weather when volunteer musicians play along the streets in addition to the bands inside the music venue, the Floyd Country Store, I recommend going.
Haven’t watched this yet but great! I kept going thru the titles reading ‘easy intermediate’ intermediate this & intermediate that... I’m thinking how about an ‘EASY Beginner’ Beginner basics, Beginner this & that? And here it is! “Thank U”😊
