Never tried glue, but the paint works really really well. Two coats is important, I think. It adds durability and leads to a more even finish. The first layer and second layer of flocking form a strong bond together.
Realistically, do you actually think that bluebills will flare from just painting it without the flocking? Not trying to hate, just asking. Around here in South Carolina most every diver is dumb as a brick and I've seen people use empty 2 liter coke bottles spray painted white and black and they smoked the ducks! Sweet video, could you do this for a mallard?
wilson grayson Bluebills probably not.... I run painted bills for the most part. Flocking on puddlers seems like it's more effective, especially when they've been shot at for a few weeks.
do you still recommend to put the white/beige flocking on or just paint it white? heard mixed reviews on the white flocking getting and trapping dirt from muddy water in them. Any truth to that?
yes there is truth to that. Is there mud under the water which your decoys will be? YES.... Will your decoy get muddy? YES... Does mud show up on a white background? YES... stupid fuck. go back to planting carrots in your backyard.
