I was told by my pastor I have the gift of prophecy. I didn't know how to respond so, I kind of dismissed it. I clearly heard God say "turn around and accept the gift I just gave you." I did. My pastor encourages me to take bold steps in pursuing this gift. Today I was able to describe to a young man who lives in Nigeria where he lives...(I live in New Jersey) I trusted the vision I saw in my head..and deliver a message from God to him....scriptures from the Bible he needed to hear..When I asked God to confirm this message was from him..I saw him in his yard complaining to God, I even saw the zinc fence his place was surrounded with...when I asked him about it he said everything I said was correct. Thanks for posting this video it was wonderful to come across as I am still learning how to use my gifting.

Yes Amen, I recently ministered on the border of africa and called someones dream by Word of knowledge... Told her what she dreamt and what it meant... There was much Word of knowledge etc and then after the word of Knowledge I like to pray with them as their faith is booming and I believe such prayer gets results.

Thanks Bruce, that was helpful and encouraging. I've been praying for help in this area. I believe all the gifts are available to us. Or perhaps we have all the gifts but we don't know how to use them. I need to step out in faith and take hold of them. Because faith without works is dead faith. Pray for me.

Great advice to ask Holy Spirit questions. God is talking to us all the time, but we don't always engage Him back with questions. As I've been growing in words of knowledge, a huge key has been learning to ask questions. I may have an initial thought or sense about something, but it usually requires me interacting with God to at least ask what it means or why He is giving me the information. From there more direction comes. I've also found that He will give us one piece and then waits until we step out. When we begin to take what He said to the person we've gotten a word of knowledge for, then He gives us more. It's almost as if Holy Spirit is waiting to see if we are going to share what He has given us before giving more.
wow yes. The use of questions is very important. I believe that we all can hear God in our own unique way like a mother can hear the difference between her babies scream and 1000s of others. It's important to take the risk every now and then and 1 will grow in confidence. Thank you for your comment. Glad to hear that God is using you in such a powerful way. Great question. I am uploading a video within the next week or so that touches on this. I believe that you need to grow and sharpen it by taking risk. But when you stay in God's presence and I mean the consciousness thereof then your conscience, heart and mind will be mostly driven by and influenced by Godly thoughts. I have found that the intellectual perception and supernatural perception meet at the same place which is really why it can be confusing at times. I have also found that at times when I thought I was thinking supernatural thoughts it was very natural and when I thought it was natural thoughts it was actually supernatural. When should constantly practice our awareness of God's presence and our consciousness of our union in Him then His thoughts and my thoughts will be the same 100 percent of the times. Hey Bruce, I watched the video you recommended..it blew my mind..I can pick up people emotions even if they are in another country. I can feel what they feel and I will ask God for one word about them and I will get it..however, it has to be someone I know...I was told that I can pick up people's spirit by a voodoo priest a long time ago..so I dismissed it...am I crazy? What other tools or teaching can you recommend? Thanks
The practical teachings are good and it has been lacking in the church for a long time. What can be dangerous is if we only hear practical teachings that are not expressed in and through revelation of the life and person Jesus Christ. That's where our identity is and then we will flow even stronger in practicality of the gifts. Make sure to get the book Translating God by Shawn Bolz!!! Watch some of the videos on youtube where he prophesies. So awesome! Thank you!! The hardest thing for me is when God gives me something very specific and I'm afraid to say it because what if I'm wrong? For instance, i believe The Lord was giving me a word for my pastor and part of it was That The Lord saw him crying in the shower asking How Lord? How am I going to help my daughter get through this? ( it was after the death of her husband). Im afraid to say something so specific. Any thoughts please? Thanks! Also recieved a word about a weather event in 2020 and dont know what to do except pray.
I was just talking to a friend, about this. I always make sure, to say, "This is what I feel, God is saying." Several years, I gave a word, that o thought, was from God, but I think, I made a mistake, and I've been worrying, that God took the gift away.
God's goal for every Christian is to conform to the image of Christ AKA spiritually grow into Christ's image. The gifts of the Spirit operate as He wills, not as we will.

Very hectic, my mom has had liver problems so she gets pains under her feet, so I also started getting them... Was wondering am I also getting these liver problems due to my history of drug abuse or am I discerning.

Hi Patricia I am praying for you now. Don't complicate it though. Prophecy is even for children. I think we miss it because it's so simple. If you desire it then you're already on the right path. Let the love of God drive you to step out

@@MsRita2014 Thank you for the good question. Nowhere in the bible does it say we should desire to be prophets. It just says we should desire to prophecy. Make sure that whatever word you give or receive stays in line with the Word of God. I would encourage you not to worry about what the calling but just enjoy the manifestation of the spirit in your life. God always makes it clear as you go
Its always in half. "But what we prophecy in half we will know fully." So it is a healing power on a need-to-know basis from the Holy Spirit which gives your spirit a series of images or sequences that are going to be important. It is not meant for total understanding like a psychic but its sole purpose is to give other people's spirit a sense of PEACE by giving them a few signs or a next step. It's really cool stuff in action.

i don't think having the mind of Christ means that we have the same thoughts as God, why do you not use a Bible random quotes are hard to check that they are not taken out of context
Hi Ruth Irwin Thank you for your comment. You are right. Having the mind of Christ does not mean that we are thinking the same thoughts. But it does mean we have access to them and can have them. I'm sure that if you read through 1 Corinthians 2 you'll be satisfied with the context. 2 Cor 2:9 But just as it is written, “Things that no eye has seen, or ear heard, or mind imagined, are the things God has prepared for those who love him.” 10 God has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things that are freely given to us by God. 13 And we speak about these things, not with words taught us by human wisdom, but with those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people. 14 The unbeliever does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The one who is spiritual discerns all things, yet he himself is understood by no one. 16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to advise him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Frankly speaking , but would encourage you to find a Bible believing church and sit your self down so you can be taught the word of God also you I suggest that you pray sincerely to the true and living God in the name of Jesus to guide you and lead you into all truth for the word of God says that you will find him if you search for him with all your heart For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are my ways your ways saith the Lord for as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts
I am very disturbed in have this message. This is One down gift of Prophecy and I don't see this in the bible. Jeremiah 23:16You giving chances for people to speak vision of their own not form the mouth of God v18 but who has stood in the council of the lord. Please don't drop the standards of the gift of Prophecy to imagination of man. You should see and hear his word.
