A few more advice to add to that list: - don't fly too low, because if you do, you may run the risk of hitting water - don't fly too high because winds are stronger at higher altitude - you can attach floaters designed specifically for certain drone models that allow you to land on water and float - plan to return to land with plenty of battery left

Just bought a mini 2 and I made the mistake of flying it below 3 meters above water surface for a reveal shot. The drone thought I was landing on solid ground and sploosh! Well, I ordered a new drone and I learned a valuable lesson. Haha

I’ll have to experiment with disabling down sensors. Some other videos showed it didn’t help and actually made it work. I want to see the implications for hand catch and regular landings

How were they able to stop you flying over water? if you were on public land then they cannot stop you and they do not own the air above them

HI! I always fly over the waters. Is there a way to set a "LOW TERRAIN, LOW ALTITUDE WARNING" on the Mavic mini2 or Air 2.? I get very distracted and lost all altitude while moving the left joystick to rotate the drone. A "low altitude warning" would be life-saving. I could set it to any altitude I want the warning to be activated. The idea is to increase altitude if I get below, e.g., 5 or 10 meters. To prevent it from crashing into the water. I already lost the Mavic mini and the Mavic 2. I can't retrieve them from the bottom of the bay, I feel sad and stupid for not checking the altitude. I am afraid to buy a new one and make the same mistake.

One question...I've seen a few videos of folk showing worse performance and more unpredictable downwards movement above water with positioning turned off. Have you experienced that? As an aside, what we're the grounds that gut gave for not flying over the reservoir? Here in Scotland, you can fly a drone most places. Might be different in England?

3:12 that's fucking insane to even suggest- without that system it'll cause you to drift in the first place- its MUCH better to have that over GPS- GPS may work well on a reflective surface...but if you can't get a signal then you shouldn't be shooting in that spot in the first place.
