When your engine fails in a twin, how do you maximize your performance? First, you need to pitch for VYSE. But second, you need to minimize your drag. Here's how you do it:

I always got nervous doing this! Twin engines =double trouble, dead foot/dead engine and all the rest and keep breathing! Great video.

So just "raising the dead" with slight rudder is mostly enough.

Awesome video work. Got the performance penalty/benefit difference. . . . thanks. Is this the same fluid dynamic occurance that translates down at slower airspeeds? i.e: So this zero sideslip (3 bank + half ball . . . both towards good engine) therefore must offer a more stable efficient (safer) platform when managing a craft in relation to its determined Vmca??

Nice video. Why is the FD on if not being followed?

I thought you were going to say shut off the other engine.

But both techniques are plausable. When to use which?

When under circumstance that cimb performance are critical such as on mountainous area or high ground elevation, using bank toward dead engine technique would be much preferable, but the con is it quite hard to rather tahn wings level technique. Cmiiw

What about engine inop scenarios in the traffic pattern....left turns into left inop engine...whats some advice for keeping the zeroside slip without getting uncoordinated

I've been told to keep half a ball into the good engine whether flying straight or turning left or right.
