I saw this *just* in time to make a sweet, romantic craft for a gent who adores Halloween. Thank you for the great tutorial! I'm sure he'll love to get an origami heart w/ bat wings! :)
The "wooden thing" in this video is a bamboo tool. It helps to crease the paper with ease for the hands, and it is it's a good pointer when demonstrating the folds.
@ Trang Bui Please be patient and stop the video when you get stuck. You might want to take a rest and come back to it later. Our minds work in unconscious ways and we need to give it time to work things out. Origami teaches us patience too!
For whatever reason, I mess up at the second 'pinch' where you're making the heart 3D. It just doesn't fold over like yours does. I've tried slowing down your hand movements but I guess I did the previous folds wrong??? But it looks exactly the same as yours.
+Zepharius Be Congratulations for trying it. Sometimes we need to grow our skills before we are able to make certain origami figures. My only thought is to suggest you fold the heart in this link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oKW3ZF1Ra-U.html a few times. This is the simpler version. It is an easier heart on which the heart-bat is based. If you study it, you’ll see how it becomes 3D. Then come back to this heart and try again. Don’t give up. Be patient and you will be rewarded with understanding how to perform the step you are missing.
I just did your easy and fast origami bat instead and that one I did first try without any mistakes! Thank you so much for your channel, I've never been good at making origami but your videos make it so much easier to learn!
I would love to use patterned paper for this one! I need to figure out which way I want my paper to be, patterned wings and white heart or the other way around? The monochrome finished model is very beautiful and I love this heart for every day not just Halloween. Especially the plasticity of the wings makes you think it is going to flutter away at any time! ^__^b Thank you for a very beautiful model!
Started out great, but you hit the end and fast forwarded through the wing detail. Trying to guess what wasn't there, I ruined the whole thing. *sigh* Thanks anyway.
¡No te desanimes!
